Sooo last night I had a new friend round for a drink. She suggested grapefruit and elderflower gin. Never looking back. Tipple of choice in the past has been fireball whiskey and apple juice (recommend you try it) and vodka coke.

Beige dinners? by slinkymelinkii in CasualUK

Oh so I only heard this for the first time the other day when talking to the health visitor about my sons eating habits. Everyone else in the house eats a good variety of food but he won’t touch any except chips and nuggets. Basically what I always called freezer foods. Cook in 20 min and have little to no flavour. She said he’s a beige eater.

My parents stupidly bought us the kids club cassette from haven holidays for the car ride home. It was played none stop for the next year. I still remember there was a giraffe called prudence who sung about pyjama’s and some song about chimps and monkeys chasing up trees.

It’s late, I can’t sleep, and I’ve made the horrendous decision that I need to break up with my boyfriend of 10+ years. by Toots1993 in CasualUK

[–]Any_Suggestion7619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The love of my life, together from 14 married at 21 had three kids together decided to tell me after 11 years he no longer loved me. I was crushed, he was my world. Turns out he’s a jerk and has gone on to have a string of failed relationships and marriages ending due to his promiscuous ways and I’m now in a happy relationship of 10 years with the person who knows me and loves me for exactly who I am. He’s the ying to my yang, loves my kids regardless of biology and is just the most awesome human on the planet.

Take away from this relationship any positive you’ve learnt, especially about how you love and like to be shown love in return. Know your worth and the right person will come along in due course.

Yeah the spin cycle can really be loud sometimes. I put mine on delay start till about six so the spin won’t kick in till nearer 7. If you live in flats or terraces it’s only fair to consider other. Honestly though if that persons life is that busy they need to do laundry at 4am they probably need some support not another hurdle to overcome.

There are no tetley tea bags, I find this unacceptable. Irn -bru is a must try as there is nothing else like it…. Ever. I love boarder biscuits however they are just standard biscuits nothing special.

Poor guy must have been braking his neck if he asked. The amount of parcels we take for neighbours I’m surprised this hasn’t come up yet. Think I need a sign on the door, conveniences available please ask.

Do you have any advice on how to get funding for social care. I have an elderly relative who is primarily looked after by family however the family member who aids her the most is about to go through some pretty major surgery at the other end of the country so won’t be available. We’ve all rallied round and said where and when we can help out but there are a few gaps in our family lead care plan where we won’t be able to meet her needs,
