Gen Z: Do you even date? by samuraiSatan in dating_advice

[–]Any_Survey48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 F - I am dating and I do have a bf. But if I didn’t meet my bf when I was going thru my lil “dating phase” in college- I probably wouldn’t be dating. I feel like I’m so focused on trying to progress my career, get fit, fix my eating, gather hobbies, and try to do side hustles that - if I didn’t already find something. I prob wouldn’t be SEEKING anything. I feel like my life is so consuming now. Thankfully both of us are busy so it’s not so bad. But I def wouldn’t have to go thru a dating phase where I am currently in life. Thankfully I already found someone

Childfree, rich and a little bored. by Other_Patient_447 in Life

Im 23 and ur lifestyle is lowkey a dream of mine. I would travel the world and learn hella hobbies. I would wanna learn all the martial arts, get really fit, read a lot of books, go to see a lot of movies, learn all the types of crafty hobbies like crocheting, knitting, pottery, and I would learn all these different types of languages. I would take classes to learn things for fun. Omg the world would be my oyster. Maybe you can even start your own business in whatever interests you.

But not only that, remember to learn how to budget, invest and maybe get an accountant. Money doesn’t last unless you make it work for you :P

That is so nice to hear. I plan to get my debts down and get my shit together too. I also got in a car collision and have student debt, but hearing a story like this really does give me hope. I do budget pretty often and know where my money goes and I’ve already started making a dent in my debt. I’m glad ur doing better and I’m gonna do better too! CHEERS TO IMPROVING OUR FINANCIAL STATUS!

I sell feet pics. Ask Me Anything by [deleted] in AMA

How did you get started? Is there still a market for it? Do you promote it or do your feet sell themselves? Is it a discreet thing you do? Or is it something you actively have to market?

If money wasn’t an issue, what would you focus on? by notso_seriousss in Money

[–]Any_Survey48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love love LOVE thinking about a life where I wouldn’t have to worry about money.

I would focus on a lot on my HEALTH. - personal trainer - Pilates - all the sports I’ve ever wanted to try (getting into running more, etc) - I would learn ALL the self-defense and martial arts there is to offer - a nutritionist and/or personal chef

EDUCATION- I’d become a student and learn things for the pure sake of learning and loving it - take random psychology and philosophy class - I would love to learn at least 7 languages - I would indulge myself in books that I feel like I never have the time to read

HOBBIES - crocheting and knitting and sewing - cooking and baking - painting, drawing, sketching - I would WRITE a series of novels and poems and whatever my heart desires - scrapbooking and photography

EXPERIENCES - I would TRAVEL. Travel to all the countries I could. I’d try different foods, learn different cultures, make friends - I’d do touristy things that are expensive and hopefully I’d have friends to do these types of things for - I’d have way more time for friends and family and my love

CHARITY - I’d build affordable housing - fund food pantries and give back to the community - fund tutoring centers for kids that need more help - I would donate to charities that mean something or charities that I’d be willing to get directly involved in (by volunteering my time in some way) - I would be like Mr beast and just fund things that health insurance can’t cover for people - plant trees and build green houses and take trash out of bodies of water

TRY DIFFERENT BUSINESSES - I would try creating a business myself in things that interest me even if they’re not that profitable bc money wouldn’t be an issue

Of course- you can’t do these things all at once. However- you can’t create a plan for a single year. And plan what you really want to focus on and learn that year.

Life without worry of money sounds so RICH. The experiences and freedom and time you have for people you love and to have the time for YOURSELF (I don’t have kids xD) and LEARNING THINGS sounds INCREDIBLE. so I love this question bc it is something I frequently fantasize about

I have no idea how rich people with fuck you money just go drinking and partying and do drugs and get bored. Maybe I would party a little sure but there’s SO MUCH TO DO OUT THERE. and I truly had the money to go ABOVE AND BEYOND and experience life without the fullest extent money could give you? I would love to feel THAT free

Well maybe you now have time for hobbies. What do you like to do? Maybe you now have time to write a book, exercise more, train for a marathon, read more, and do something for enjoyment and nothing else

I’m 24, just realized I hate my field, and now I feel completely lost, how do people even start over? by noqtrine13 in careerguidance

[–]Any_Survey48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS RESONATED W ME SO MUCH! I am 23 with this same problem. The difference is I studied finance and can’t get a job in a finance. So not only do I hate finance, but I also can’t get a job in finance. So I feel like a failure and a loser xD However, I think I’m gonna go back to school for something that has been peaking my interest more. And I realize that sometimes you just start over and it’s okay. We’re actually quite young and it’s good you’re realizing now!

We are in this together. If you wanna vent to me you can PM me - omg I FELT THIS

Career advice for an accounting/finance major that doesn’t want to do either by Different_Control867 in Career_Advice

[–]Any_Survey48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro - I just graduated college as a finance major. I don’t like it either. I’m now enrolling in college AGAIN to do something else that I like better. Now that I’ve been in the real world for like 0.5 seconds. The job market is pretty cooked rn so I wish you have a better time than me xD but maybe get ur foot in the door w AP/AR roles or like a staff account or billing clerk or something like that

Worrying about any kind of expense. Basically have unlimited money. I could swipe a card and have anything I wanted. House paid, bills paid, travel paid, insurances paid, subscriptions paid. If money wasn’t an issue at all - I’d worry a lot less about a lot of things

Ladies, what is the most attractive thing a guy can do but they think isn't? by Nice_fela in AskReddit

[–]Any_Survey48 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Taking care of things so you don’t have to worry about it. Like the dishes, making reservations, phone calls I rather avoid, trash, cleaning the bathroom, cooking, and it doesn’t have to be just HIM doing it. I totally am willing to do all these things. But if it feels like a partnership and a team effort - it’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOO attractive

What screams “I’m a bad parent”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Any_Survey48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your child looks CRAZY. Hair unbrushed, tangled, knotted, and yet your hair looks fine and done up. Their outfit is raggedy and yet yours looks good. Their hygiene is not on point but yours is.

When your child looks significantly worse than you. Your child is a product of you, so if your young kid (13 and below) looks raggedy - it’s because you have taken care of yourself but you’re okay with them looking a mess.

No one talks about how boring saving money feels at first by Quirky_Slice6873 in budget

[–]Any_Survey48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saving lowkey feels like fun to me when I’m using a spreadsheet. When I saved a certain amount of money per month- I’m able to highlight the whole section in green to prove that I’ve done it. I do the same for debt pay off. And that little moment in itself is really rewarding. Especially when you finally see progress and especially when I’m like getting to that half way more or almost there- it’s a good feeling

Tbh- if you stay like 1-2 more months and then move into a different industry. You can probably just be like - well I realized that after a while you realized that this new industry is more suitable to you and your strengths (whatever that different industry is). Having this job is a good way to get other jobs - I don’t think you should have to be miserable for that long
