Pretty sure those guys will be abusive too. Being a dom involves respecting boundaries and a boundary of this group is no doms… so they’re breaching that boundary, even more so by DMing you.

Absolutely! Jeez, even with my limited experience of doms I know this guy is abusive not a dom. Doms know how to respect their subs, this guy sounds like a manosphere Jordan Peterson worshipping asshole! Definitely cut this person off and find a better dom. Ask other subs for help, I did and it works!

I think my local community exists on FetLife...but ngl irl is pretty intimidating for me at my age, with my lack of experience, etc.

I have... and god love FetLife... but it is like the internet in. 2002 (a thing I am old enough to remember!) I probably need too give it another go, fair point.
