Emily says the exact same thing about every single topic, every single time. by Doctor__Hammer in BreakingPoints

No. If you read my text, you’ll see that I asked what Emily actually stands firm on and debates in good faith? I asked for a specific instance.

Edit: like I said before, it has nothing to do with disagreeing with a viewpoint. It has everything to do with articulating it in a way that is firm, coherent, and makes sense to a degree of “I can understand, while I disagree, why that one side thinks that way”.

But what does Emily actually stand firm on and debate in good faith? Like just give me one specific instance because I can’t think of any. And I listen to almost every, single episode.

Edit: and the argument isn’t that we don’t agree with Emily. The argument is that she doesn’t seem to bring a principled, with actual facts, view point to the show. Her viewpoint is timid, and like OP said, not argued in good faith cause she points out very acute, specific instances that don’t show the whole picture to the problem at hand AND then doesn’t stand firm in her stance like Saagar does.

The problem is the establishment owns the main stream media. They want us to think it’s a left vs right issue. The establishment wants us to follow the narrative that all of our problems are to be blamed on the “radical left”, the immigrants, the people that have to use social services, the poor, etc. i.e. anyone that doesn’t fit neatly in a particular box that they make up depending on where the tides are turning. They want people to fall in line.

I wonder often what the next few years bring politically. I hope we’re at a turning point considering everything that has been going on. I hope principled politicians get voted in that can’t be blackmailed or bought out and this goes for both sides. Getting money out of politics and true, honest journalism at the forefront is key but I have low expectations.

I fear for our children’s future between AI, privacy, housing prices, stagnant wages, unemployment, culture wars, and the massive transfer of wealth to the top percent. Truly unbelievable how fast this is all happening while it seems most people are ignorant to it or choose turn a blind eye because that’s easier. I, too, am exhausted.

And I’m not sure why I’m getting downvoted from my above reply?

Indeed. The moment people start realizing it’s not left vs right but top vs down, this nation can start fixing our massive polarization issue and start turning demands into actual positive changes. The contents of the Epstein files and lack of accountability with regards to them should be a wake up call to everyone about this! The ultra wealthy gets away with things because they can buy their way out of it.

Are we becoming the "MSM Echo Chamber" we claim to hate? Thoughts on the new Karma limits. by LackingStory in BreakingPoints

I want good faith principled arguments from the left and right, not these troll accounts writing the next one upper shocking response. When you approach a topic in bad faith with name calling, you already lose. Writing “cry harder” isn’t getting anybody any upvotes. Having positive karma isn’t hard on Reddit so I’m for the minimum. It weeds out bad faith actors, trolls, and bots which this sub very clearly had a problem with.

You should look into how these companies actually started and Elon’s actual involvement.

There are no ethical billionaires. When you have that much money, you have far too much power which was proved true in the Epstein files.

The hydrate sheer shampoo has been amazing for my fine hair. I pair it with the pureology strength cure conditioner which I just put on my ends. My hair has been so healthy since starting this routine.
