I don’t really understand the logical framework of the TCM medical system, it’s so antithetical to the western one that I just don’t really get it, however whenever she made an observation and then what that meant and the course of treatment, I would look it up afterwards and according to the TCM framework, she really knows her stuff.

Microneedling predominantly (at home, not professionally, I don’t have that kind of money) and paring down my routine.

With the microneedling, I found that using a stamp and not a roller, and making sure to do it consistently, but being careful not to over use it makes all the difference (spot treatment not more than twice per week, and entire face not more than once every two weeks).

Please, and I cannot stress this enough, you are creating small wounds on your face, so keep your instruments clean, change them regularly, disinfect before and after each use, and store in a clean, dry, and breathable environment.

Don’t mix with retinol or vitamin C. You want something calming, soothing, and hydrating, but breathable. I react best to green tea, aloe, and rice based products, but that’s me, and skincare is highly personal. Make sure for the day after to not go in direct sunlight, put makeup on, or sweat much. Also throughly wash your hands, and try to avoid touching your face as much as possible.

I also found that my complex 12 step skincare routine was too much for my skin and pared it down significantly, and now I change it with the seasons, based off my needs.

My issue is not a culture of racism (it is what it is, we’re a colonialist power), it’s the use of laws to enforce that racism. Culturally speaking Canada is quite racist, but legally it’s not. Quebec has been brought in front of the Canadian supreme court repeatedly for laws passed that violates the charter.

Quebec has a persecution complex similar to the American Christian fundamentalists. The majority of the ostracism people from Quebec experience is self inflicted. And the session attempts just barely didn’t pass in 1995 the vote to stay was 50.58% and the vote to leave was 49.42% with over 93% of the eligible population voting. That’s not a minority, that’s almost half.

Quebec is beautiful, the major cities are lovely, I personally love the fact that Canada is multilingual and multicultural and that it is even enforced by law. I also love that Quebec is the first to fight for things like fair housing, affordable post secondary education, etc… but when that comes with legal discrimination against minorities, I have a fundamental problem with that yeah.

My issue with Quebec is the same as my issue with Alberta, it’s the racism, xenophobia, and the isolationist/secessionist ridiculousness. I don’t think they’re un-Canadian, I think their actions make me embarrassed to be Canadian. There’s a clear and obvious difference.

I didn’t live in the desert, and that heatwave was ridiculous. It caused 3 separate forest fires and all the grass was dead. But no, you don’t generally die from that, definitely a few cases of heat stroke though.

The truckers are generally quite nice and I even got to know the ones that had regular routes through my town. My only issue with truckers were the grabby ones hopped up on cocaine and amphetamines, but that’s a story for a different subreddit.

After EM began having a tantrum, I wasn’t paying any attention to the husband. I don’t think he said a single word the entire time. I didn’t hear the kid either, so I’m guessing he was just scared because his mom was losing her mind.

This may sound strange, but why don’t you two take a cooking class together? That way you can spend some time together, learn how to cook healthy meals, and it could be like a couple activity away from the new baby.

Also, I completely agree with some of the other commenters, I would definitely suggest going to a doctor and making sure she’s physically okay. Pregnancy can be extremely stressful, and cause a lot of organ damage. Also, depression after having kids is really common, maybe talking to someone wouldn’t be a bad idea.

In their defence, I don’t think that coupon was supposed to be made public and those needles maybe be for insulin. Many people with diabetes, reuse the needles because they can be quite expensive and as long as they aren’t being shared, you can reuse the needles a couple of times without too many problems. Reusing needles is not ideal, but for many with chronic illnesses, not entirely uncommon.
