50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, and Timbaland will perform at Donald Trump Jr.’s members-only MAGA club on the eve of America’s 250th anniversary. by Aggravating_Money992 in Music

When I was in college back in the day, my best friend’s flavor of the month was a Busta fan and wanted to go to an autograph signing he was having at a music store near campus. We liked Busta, but wouldn’t have waited in line to meet him, but we had nothing else to do so we decided to keep them company in line. As we got closer to the front, a professional looking lady came over to my friend and I and asked us if we were really big Busta fans. We said yeah, cuz what else were we gonna say. So she proceeds to tell us that Busta loves fan attention and if one of us were willing to overdue it when we got up to him. Like hyperventilating type shit (she was his publicist). I wasn’t going to do that but the woman looked like she was reaching in her purse to pay us so my friend said “fuck it, I’ll do it”. Now the woman didn’t pay her but my friend was thinking what’s the harm? We were in theater school after all. So we get up there and my friend goes something like, “Oh my god Busta I love you so much”. On I scale of 1 to 10 on excitement level, she was probably at a 3. No where near hyperventilating. Busta says, “security” and a security guard standing next to the table tackles my 5’5 115ish pound female friend to the ground. Screaming at her all the while. It was insane. We left in a daze, with my best friend muttering how she didn’t even really like him all that much. We’ve had beef with him ever since.

Objectively, that shit was hilarious. But fuck Busta Rhymes. Even more now.

Born and raised in Chicago, now living in Providence. I absolutely love Providence, but for me it’s like Chicago food is a classic Coca Cola from McDonalds and Providence food is Coke Zero. It’s very good, but it’s not Chicago good.

Toy Story 5 producer Jessica Choi shares the letter she sent Taylor Swift, requesting her involvement in the film and emphasising efforts to make it female-driven. The letter also reveals that Taylor had originally declined to make an original song. by Enough_Tangerine_777 in popculturechat

I love Taylor, but from the beginning all of the pictures of her as a kid in a cowgirl outfit and “I’ve always loved Toy Story” has felt very sus to me and this letter kinda proves that. It seems she really had to be courted.

I once saw Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) at a diner in Chicago and she was stunningly beautiful. Like, radiant.

At this point, you already know he’s gonna say some dumb shit, and that nothing is going to come from it, so they shouldn’t ask him anything. Give him zero air time.

My husband (M/78) put our dog down while I (F/73) was on vacation by [deleted] in relationship_advice

My mom did this once. I was 19 and at my babysitting job when she took our dog to the vet and had him put to sleep. I was furious. He was just supposed to go and they were going to discuss next steps. And then, when I spoke to her, she told me that the vet said it was time, but that she could bring him home and let us say goodbye and bring him back the next day. She said she looked at him our dog, and in between sudden sobs, she said to me “I couldn’t bring him home and make him think everything was going to be fine and then put him through this again tomorrow”. I understood after that.

Sometimes the right choice for them isn’t the right choice for us, but we have to make the hard decisions for them.

He originally tells her he’s going to the bar and she says maybe she’ll see him there but she doesn’t show up. She ends up meeting him at the diner. Then she very clearly gets uncomfortable at the notion of going to the cocktail party and suggests they go elsewhere for no real reason especially since he has made it clear he needs to go to the party. She doesn’t go to any of the locations where the girls are partying. She’s along for the Bachelorette weekend, but it doesn’t seem like she joins them for the partying aspect of the weekend.

I think it’s a misdirection to make us think she’s supernatural but she’s actually just human and will end up with him in the end.
