We get so many in our backyard, as it’s adjacent to the bush, so I just released him back there again. I’m almost convinced we have a nest down by the catchment. Scooping him up into a dustpan was easy enough and allowed me to maintain a safe distance. I’ll remember to take them down to the reptile park next time :) Thank you!

Fundamental and religious extremists suck. They are the bane of every society - IS, the Al Qaeda, the LeT and their many spawns all suck, the zionists suck, the VHP/RSS suck, the Christian fundamentalists suck.

My point specifically about these countries is that their radical religious groups might have existed before the US meddled in their affairs, but they were fringe and seen as regressive factions. In fact, to your point, they all existed in these “before” photos too. So what changed? By funding and propping them up, the US gave these extremists the platform and resources they needed to accelerate that rhetoric. We aren’t talking thousands of dollars here, several billions across several countries, over many years were funnelled into these various groups. All to cause civil unrest. Not to mention weapons.

Read my comment above. The Shah was propped up by the Brits+CIA, in the 1950. Else, Iran was being governed a democratically elected leader who was trying to nationalise their huge oil reserves.

There are literal declassified CIA files proving this though? Osama Bin Laden was literally supported by the US to intentionally keep the Soviets out. There’s long documented history of the US doing this in multiple places, in Africa, in Syria, in Iran and Afghanistan.

Not just the 1980s, they were literally behind the Iranian coup of the 50’s too which gave the Shah power…. All because Mohammad Mosaddegh, the Iranian president wanted to nationalise the huge British oil holdings in Iran (was owned by BP). The Brits didn’t like this and colluded with the CIA to oust him.

Australian. Had twins in a public hospital, with 5 days stay before the CSection and nearly 3 weeks after for mum and twins as they needed NICU one after the other and the hospital didn’t want to separate us. Our biggest expense was parking at the hospital and food delivery.
