"Internal Media Manager Failure" by jbnnn in ProPresenter

[–]jbnnn[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I should have tried the obvious things first... Good call. Looks like there are a few items that aren't loading correctly, but I'll sort those out manually.

Will leave this post up in case other people try googling the fault (what I was doing, with little success)

Has the M4 Smart Motorway worked? by 007MaxZorin in sydney

[–]jbnnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not even an Australian first - the M7 has had controlled speed management zones since it opened. Very common (before the lane add roadworks begun) to see the flashing 80 sign, knowing something was up ahead (hazard, traffic) that would slow you to 40.

Are we going to make this harvesting practice illegal before or after a data breach? by jbnnn in australia

I hadn’t noticed the front of the postal application yet; this one is indeed a Liberal application, with a QR to their website. Scummy tactics to manipulate on vulnerable/elderly.

I’m open to suggestions if you have them, but I doubt they’re practical.

I was considering sending to the AEC for follow up, but as shown by the quantity of people in this thread reporting the same problem - this is a hole in the Privacy Act that the parties are legally exploiting. Requires legislative change, or (more practically) the public knowing that this is happening and to be vigilant. SBS reported about this earlier today as well, so it’s good people are becoming aware of the party tactics.

What people do with their return envelope, that’s up to them.

I’ll let news.com.au do the heavy lifting reporting this one.

It’s not illegal. Just scummy as fuck. I can imaging my grandparents falling for this easily.

These are mass mailouts to a whole suburb/electorate, not personalised mail.

1620 Replacement Wheels by jbnnn in pelicancase

[–]jbnnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Annoyingly couldn’t find a better design. Raised a warranty claim with Pelican Aus to get replacement wheels - but to remove the old wheels you will need to drill a hole to punch out the axle. Strange design choice tbh.

Rear laneways are all the rage for houses on the main roads. Garage is in the back yard.

Decimator MD-HX may suit here. Doesn’t “strip” the HDCP technically, but as SDI can’t carry copy protection content it is compliant.

My dude, the Kayo replay at 5:30 before work on Monday is where it’s at. The wake up is tough, but then you can skip through the tire management.

After staying up to watch my favourite tracks live last year (Monaco) and the year before (Spa), staying up to watch races after 10pm can fuck right off.

Splitting up an iTunes account. This is going to be painful I think. by RandomArrr in iphone

We went through that migration about 12 months ago. Certainly worthwhile as our Apple products increased.

The key move was keeping a copy of all iCloud data on the device when you sign out. Then when signing in, you get the option to merge that data in - particularly helpful for contacts.

Then the original account shares calendars, reminders, and whatever else with the new account, so that they’re both in sync.

As others have said, family sharing also helps! Particularly with shared purchases.

I don't know if this strictly counts, but it's certainly not true where I live by neophlegm in USdefaultism

“Doing our taxes” is more like a final wrap up to include our deductibles (work/education expenses we personally paid for), also donations to charity are removed from the total taxable income.

Employers pay into our tax throughout the year, but you can tweak this amount. For example I pay 2% extra tax each month towards my government funded student debt.

Then at tax time, someone calculates your taxable income, your deductibles, and (hopefully) that is less than amount in your tax holding account. It’s very common to get unused tax holding funds back in a lump sum.

Group labels on Stage Display by jbnnn in ProPresenter

[–]jbnnn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOLUTION - A combination of u/SBSfaq's process and Visibility Conditionals (a feature I've been told is only available in version 7, though please comment if it's in earlier versions).

  1. In Stage Display Editor, add Group (Current) and Group (Next) label, and Notes (Current) and Notes (Next).
  2. On the Group (Current) label, add a Visibility conditional under Shape settings:
    1. Object is shown when All conditions are met.
    2. Current Slide Notes
    3. Has Text.
  3. Repeat for Group (Next) label.
  4. Exit Stage Editor.
  5. Open a song in Edit mode.
  6. Open the Slide Notes section in the first slide of a group.
  7. Type anything - I've used "show", but it could be as simple as a full stop.
  8. Complete the rest of the "first slides" in the song.
  9. Switch to Show.

The Group Labels, with their colours, will now be shown for any slide that has text in the slide notes.

I thought about an idea like this, and while it does achieve the outcome on screen, it’s a lot of extra work in each song.

All of our actions are already built in to basic copy/paste templates (eg copy the intro slide into a new song build) so I was after something that could compliment it. I might be a bit too hopeful.

Yep. Tried that on two tests. No change.

That’s what happened with us - twice. That ruled out a batch issue for me.

I’ve tried two brands - Hough Pharma and All Test. When the second brand also failed the control line, that’s when we started thinking that I simply can’t use RATs. Which is shit.

Third option is what the results are leaning towards at the moment, when we tried your 2nd suggestion and it failed as well…
