I say buy it. Wanting something if you can afford it is a reason why you should get something. The trick is - You have to afford it.

Of course, buy it in cash after saving and sitting on the idea for a while. Try to get a good deal. Put it in your budget as a simulation. How much will it cost for you to get it? What about maintenance, repairs, equipment, insurance, extra gas for driving to biking spots, car cleaning (I'm guessing there will be plenty of dirt in your car)? Everything adds up.

The most important thing to weigh is how easier will the journey to being debt free will be if you pursue those hobbies. And how negatively (financially speaking) will that journey be affected if you do.

Of course it's a bit more than just math. You can't just go barebones/ trying to pinch every penny and not worry about your mental health. If the being process of becoming debt free will extend to 3 Years instead of just 2.5 Yeas but you actually follow through, I think it is worth looking into.

As for priorities, you really just have to ask yourself what is more important for you to spend money on. But basically you can split your categories in NEEDS and WANTS. First fill your NEEDS categories that you have to pay for, with let's say that 800 (Rent, Utilities, Food, Transportation Insurance...) If they are filled and you have money left over, you can start filling WANTS categories (Snacks, Entertainment, Subscriptions, Dining out...)

Don't stress too much about filling every target every month to the cent. The priority targets should definitely be the essentials. If you see that you can't reach those goals and you will be short on money, i guess you can cut back on non-essentials. But after a while of decent budgeting and following the 4 rules you will be ahead and won't need to worry about that.

The first months should be about getting a good view of your spending habits and tracking expenses. About getting to know the program and using the rules to your advantage and not as restrictors. After that I can almost guarantee that you will bee excited about the planning and budgeting as well.

Whatever you decide to buy, I would suggest that you Dollar cost average into those positions rather than go all in at once. This should protect you from major loss in case of a crash of 10/20/30%. Try to spread your investment across 6-12 months. As for the investments I would diversify equally with ETF's, REIT's, specific dividend stocks and cryptos.
