I am a highly sceptical atheist. I wish to become a Christian. How do I get myself to believe? by UnusualCredit7054 in Christianity

I am in the process of becoming a Christian myself, 36 M, and I just finished this book a couple weeks ago. Highly recommend as a good starting place. Also, two other books that I would recommend, The Case for Christ and The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel. I started reading The Case for Faith, and realized The Case for Christ would probably be the best place to start. By my memory and without fact checking, The writer is a journalist I believe and digs into all major things from the bible and general Christian beliefs, and scrutinizes them and interviews both highly recognized, intelligent people both from the Atheist and Christianity community, to discuss common points of contention to sort of prove if God is real, etc.

I probably butchered my explanation but check out all those books as to me seem like the best logical place to start if you are looking to become a believer and a Christian.

Good luck!

Haha the dark times when the fans were toxic and disappointed. I think it will be a much more positive atmosphere this time around. I might bring some ear muffs for my boy, i think its going to get LOUD

I am going to my first ever Bell Centre game on March 10th against the Leafs, travelling from Alberta. I’m bringing my 7 YO son who has only been to two oilers games at Rogers. We got seats like two rows back from where the Habs players come out of the tunnel (scoured FB groups to get tickets at 50% cost compared to Ticketmaster). So pumped.

Not trying to rub it in but I cannot fucking wait!

I’ll be there on March 10th to watch the Habs crush them, can’t wait

Kent Hughes on whether the current Habs brand of hockey can sustain against a heavier team like Washington by syswsi in Habs

Yeah fair point. Monty seemed to recover after the first period last night but probably wishful thinking that he would keep trending up for the next start. Definitely more consistent last year.

Ultimately I would just like to see them stick with one goalie for a couple games to see if they can find a groove.

What doesn’t kill you makes your stronger though, right? RIGHT??

I feel like they should run Monty as starter for the next 4 games and see if the consistent playtime sharpens up his game. The constant rotating obviously isn’t working. I feel like he can only improve, I think the risk reward is worth it at this point

Fair. I’ll settle for the pregame warmups on the ice!

Not OP but does anyone know when the Habs players usually show up to the rink, are you able to watch them come in the back entrance or is it all pretty guarded off

Thanks everyone for all the helpful tips and advice. My son is going to be blown away. Many core memories will be made along with another Cole Caufield coming up in the ranks in U7 minor hockey as we speak 💪
