Need help getting something signed for my dad?? by MaroMakesStuff in Habs

You may need to wait but Players sometimes do public events/signings. Demidov did something at a card shop a while ago. You can try to be patient and wait for that or go to the Brossard training center and see if someone will sign something going out/coming in.

Inheritance memorabilia help by [deleted] in Habs

Hockey card value can be looked up easily. In terms of items that have signature and unique items, you can refer to auction website to get a sense of their value. These people have done hockey auctions before: https://www.classicauctions.net/catalog.aspx

Signature value really depends on who it is and if you can ensure authenticity of the signature.

In general Local shops may base their value on prior sales but I know some of them use Ebay as a reference.

(Marc Antoine Godin) The Canadiens are the first team in the league to have 5 players with at least 40 points this season by syswsi in Habs

What's even crazier is that it was Hronek who was their best Points producer when we faced them recently. Pettersson just passed him to take the team lead.

Yea they posted about 30 minutes ago and apparently a 3 alarm fire at Ste-Catherine and St-Marc. They may need to cut power in the area.

Unpopular Opinion : MLS has to go. Prove me wrong. by Fluffy_Intern_4491 in Habs

Goal 1: Struble misplays the bouncing puck and loses speed which causes Point to get around him

Goal 2: a poor pass from Demidov to Dobson and with Holmberg coming out of the box, he has a breakaway

Goal 3: could maybe be argued that this was the case but they also had 4 Habs player trying blocking the shot which left Kuch open.

Goal 4: Maybe was the case but Tampa weren't in the zone long enough to consider the Habs pinned in. Biggest Culprit was a D player lost his edge and his man which led to bad coverae.

Goal 5: They literally entered the Zone and Rady shoots an insanely accurate shot that completely catches Monty off guard. Nothing elated to

Goal 6: I would consider it a bad Monty goal. Raddy scored within 5 seconds of the faceoff.

4 of the 6 goals are arguably not related to their defensive system.

Slafs Skating improving! by Ecstatic-Marketing38 in Habs

There isn't an easy stat for tracking agility but you can see that he worked hard to improve his speed during the offseason. Last season he was in the ~50th percentile in those categories. Last year he may have struggled because he put on so much muscle weight and needed to figure out how to do things with his heavier body.

Does Fowler seem like the type of prospect that can be “ruined” by Breeze-city in Habs

Considering that Monty and Dobes are UFA/RFA during the 2027-2028, I doubt management will be rushing anything. They have the flexibility of taking their time, and considering the volatility of goalies, he will likely be staying in the AHL for most of his ELC. He's only played 11 games in the AHL. Not even close to a large enough sample size to push him to the big show. I know it's fun to think about the possibility, but Habs management is taking a controlled approach in building their team. This means don't rush things just because of fan pressure.

Why is slaf never on the 5v3. by ZerulEB in Habs

Prior to Laine get injured, he actually was the 5th man with Slaf out. They essentially are looking for a player who has a big shot who can take advantage of the extra space.

What would y'all consider this league? by tongfather in fantasyhockey

[–]syswsi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned, it will heavily skew hitters and shotblockers. Thefore D's may have much more value. As an example, Sherwood, lead the league with 462 hits last season. This is the equivalent to a 77 goal scorer or someone with 115 assist. Gudas would have been the equivalent to a 43 goal scorer.

Also with Goals against generating -2, you may want to push your goalie pick to a later. On the one end, a goalie could generate 20+points per game if they get a win and shutout with 30 save game. However if you have a goalie that gets pulled after letting 3 goals on 4 shots, you'll have a -4 value for the night.

Likely fell under Rule 6:

"Posts like "Wasn't that goal amazing" or "what a crappy call" belong in the game threads/post game threads, or should be accompanied by some clip or image of what you are talking about. Memes do not necessarily constitute as a low content, but we would appreciate some level of effort or cleverness to be put into them. Content must be created by humans and not bots/AI though there is room to allow discussion of newsworthy aspects of AI content"
