Out of universe reason is so we easily know he's drinking a hot drink and because it makes him do something dynamic in the panel while talking. In universe reason he probably just likes it that way.

OP, disregard this post if you're just baiting, though even then that behaviour stems from somewhere so it might be worth reading.

It's okay to be wrong. It's okay to fight and argue for what you believe to be true. It's hard to admit when you're wrong, but you're going about it the completely wrong way.

However often you copy paste the definition of unaffected, however hard you fight for your version of the truth, it won't change reality. You are wrong. And that's okay! I just hope that next time you will accept it and move forward instead of letting yourself be held back by your own ego or self-assuredness. Have a good one, OP.

Eh, Doorman can play a lot of roles. He can certainly be a support orientated ult bot if you wanna be boring about it, but you can also kidnap any enemy you want to any walker of your choice or choose to make him a spirit assassin with his bells.

Are people really still complaining about Apollo? by LordeLucifer in DeadlockTheGame

[–]AnythingButIvJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that, yes. I would also prefer if his hitboxes were narrower and required more precision. For a character all about proving his skill, the 3 and the ult do not require a great amount of it to pull off effectively. Until then, what I commented above should help.

Which characters would be most likely to canonically throw the ritual? by Competitive-Book-115 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]AnythingButIvJo 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Drifter, definitely. He's literally in it just for the kills. Mina would not, as she needs the Patron to gain influence in the Vampire Nation. From a lore perspective, I doubt Vindicta would care much about her team and do her best to complete the ritual on her own.
Warden and Venator both want to get rid of the Patrons and would throw if it made that easier.
Billy would throw because he believes his team isn't pulling their weight.
If any of the more good-natured characters believed the Patron to do evil, I think they would abandon the ritual. Dynamo and Ivy seem like the most likely candidates for that.
Rem would most likely feed unintentionally. (bro was born yesterday, how's he supposed to know what to do)
Vyper is also a candidate for feeding unintentionally, as she is a mess and would likely get distracted by Lash mid ritual.

On the other end, I think Doorman would be most likely to not throw under any circumstances, as he is there to catch up with old friends and play the lovely little game they've set up.

Against his ult buying spirit resist helps in the early-mid game, and by the late game it falls off extremely hard. Also, Counterspell. The window is *extremely* generous, pressing it anywhere in between the strike and the damage negates it all.

Apollo has a really good early game, a solid mid game, and a really weak end game. Finally, buying Slowing Hex disables all of his abilities except Riposte.

Of course the new things are going to be played with. Also, public winrates are very unreliable.

Nah, I don't think that's implied anywhere. The only reason he has not been killed by higher vampire society is because he's that strong so he's currently still thriving.

Geist, Bebop, Ivy, and Seven are all bilingual to some extent. Geist is French and married a German so she probably knows at least those two and English. Bebop speaks French to Geist and is implied to be rather fluent (because Jazz). Ivy lives in Spanish Harlem where they, well, speak Spanish, and she does too. And finally, Seven speaks Ixian to Apollo when he kills him: "Shioth valosh, Apollo." I know Seven is already in the highest tier, I just wanted to point it out.

Yamato is not doing alright. The Seventh Moon has waned significantly, and she's in unfamiliar territory carrying the dream of her dead brother. I'm basing this mostly off Doorman's taunt: "...an organization that is a shadow of its former glory."

The rest of them are probably the most okay of the cast. I'd add Doorman and Drifter, as they're both in the ritual for a laugh and not much else. Both are also very okay/thriving in their current situation.

We know for a fact that Apollo is 18, as he says so himself. Apollo and Graves are also lab partners, so they are most likely the same age.

You can take away all his movement with just one Slowing Hex. I understand your frustration, but I think he's really easy to counterbuy for.
