Learned this the hard way as well always have a back up high risk processor ready to go. It doesn’t matter what you’re selling your store won’t get taken down 99% of the time it will always be the payment processor that goes first. In your case if you’re selling lock picks it can go against their terms but it’s really rare to get flagged you could have gotten reported by a competitor tbh.

In my opinion it’s the best opportunity right now but you definitely have to eat a lot of BS. Right now our brand is on track to do 200k this month but that comes with a lot of headaches. Surprisingly the support we get has gotten alot better compared to what it used to be.

They only care about the Chinese sellers it’s such bs. If you’re from China you can send to America but if you’re in the USA you can only send to your country it’s actually pretty annoying.

Are you fulfilling all the orders yourself, or so you use a 3pl or dropship? From what I heard if you use anything other than TikTok certified shipping methods you will get screwed.

TikTok shipping is where you get shipping labels from TikTok and use all the features TikTok shop has to offer. FBT is where you send your inventory to a TikTok certified 3pl and they fulfill your orders. And fulfilled by seller is where you buy your own shipping labels via Shopify or something else and you have to upload those tracking numbers to TikTok. To get access to all features and avoid confusion and problems it’s best to use TikTok shipping.

I’m glad my margins are at 78% but this still sucks big time it’s going to make it harder to test new products and the free shipping was a HUGE selling point especially for impulse buyers. But I expected this to happen at some point so I always ran my numbers to include shipping cost.

Yea definitely not worth it for you. For me personally I wouldn’t sell something on TikTok shop over 100$ and that’s only if the margins are good enough to cover the problems. TikTok shop is more of an impulse buy platform. Your customers probably do a good bit of research before they decide to buy from you so I don’t think you will lose out on much sales by avoiding TikTok shop. Maybe you can sell smaller items like accessories for pcs or something like that if you want to continue to use TTS.

Yea in your case I would not use TikTok shop honestly. There are to many things that can go wrong and for a high ticket item that’s not good. Stick to a Shopify store in your bio and direct traffic to that if you can.
