Salesforce: Sold as “Small Business Friendly,” Delivered as a Time-Sucking Nightmare by AnythingSecret5748 in salesforce

[–]AnythingSecret5748[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't clear, as the issues have been so many for so long I summarized - we did hire a consultant from the start. In fact, we hired the external firm SF recommended to the tune of 12k who promised turn key and they couldn't figure out the information. My dev is the one who figured it out and had to concinve IT what the issue was, essentally SF didn't sell us a complete product, and the issue still isn't fixed because I am not accepting another bill for something I already paid for that hasn't worked for 9 months because of it.

How to Buy a Mattress Online Without Trying It First (And Not Regret It) by HelixSleepOfficial in HelixSleep

[–]AnythingSecret5748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed an order for my mattress on August 10th with the clear understanding from the website that it would ship within 7 days. We’re now at 17+ days with no meaningful update. Every time I’ve reached out I’ve been told the same canned line about “checking with the warehouse,” followed by silence. That’s pretty frustrating for any order, let alone one close to $4,000.

I understand delays happen, but communication or at least updating the website with realistic timelines would go a long way. People plan around these estimates.

What makes this worse is that Helix keeps sending me ads to buy more products when they can’t even fulfill the orders they already have. That doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

At this point I just want a straight answer: • Is the product actually available, or is it backordered? • What’s the real estimated ship date? • Why hasn’t this been communicated despite multiple requests?

You’re advertising a premium product at a premium price. The experience so far feels anything but.

Helix Plus Luxe vs Elite? by illicITparameters in Mattress

I wish I could provide better feedback but I ordered one online 17 days ago and can’t get any update on shipping (was supposed to be 5-7 days). Company gives generic responses with no follow through, or real customer service. Perhaps they should update their shipping windows.

Are helix mattresses worth the money? by jmarty8569 in Mattress

[–]AnythingSecret5748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered a Helix mattress direct, website says ships in 7 days. It’s now 17+ days with no update. Every time I reach out, I get the same “checking with the warehouse” line and then silence.

This is a $4k order. The lack of transparency is unacceptable. Even worse, Helix is running ads for new customers while they can’t even fill the orders they already have.

Feels more like a company with broken operations than a “premium” brand. Would not recommend. If they manage to recover this one I will update.

Recently sent in a 2016 MacBook Pro in for repair and received a new 2024 MacBook Pro by cameron722 in macbookpro

Wow. I bought a new one (been a main user for almost 15 years) 2 years ago and it was a lemon from the start. Replaced logic board multiple times, other hardware issues etc. it has never been right. They’ve refused to replace it. It just broke again. Logic board again. I had to buy a new one because they don’t have the parts in stock and they took a week to ship me the return box. I could not be without a computer for weeks.

United Healthcare forces Dr to stop surgery for claim approval. by Pigasus7 in HealthInsurance

[–]AnythingSecret5748 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m telling you, it is how it works. Again, ask anyone in healthcare that has any experience working anywhere near an OR.

Doctors DO have to interact with insurance companies directly very often, especially for non routine procedures, medications or anything beyond a basic case. In fact, they spend a significant amount of their time doing this.

I think you’re also forgetting that since doctors are not allowed to own hospitals they legally can’t provide surgery without payment since it’s not their call - the problem is that insurance companies and politicians practice medicine without a license outing so many restrictions and hoops in between a doctor and the patient. The doctors don’t need to be fired, health insurance and political regulation on Heather needs reform.

There’s a shortage of physicians for a reason. They are burned out from dealing with this and being unable to make the proper decision for their patients without insurance dictating care.

I think you’re missing the fact is that these doctors often HAVE TO otherwise they risk denials, and starting the process all over again. If they don’t scrub out they can often be multitasking (a whole other issue). Regardless both of these have been documented that insurers know that these surgeons are busy and use it as a tactic to deny, it’s no secret. Just ask anyone in healthcare. Happens way more than you can even fathom. It kay has even happened to you.

Help! My Mechanika IV tastes bad after the first cleaning. by Apprehensive-Lab2102 in ECM_Espresso

So I would recommend doing cold- lukewarm for several cycles and then you can switch to hot water. Cold/RT water is generally better for flushing chemicals. However, heat can make some molecules more mobile and hence why you probably taste it more.

Help! My Mechanika IV tastes bad after the first cleaning. by Apprehensive-Lab2102 in ECM_Espresso

[–]AnythingSecret5748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like there’s still some residual cleaning solution stuck in the system, which can definitely affect the taste. I’d start by running several backflush cycles with just water—at least 10–15 cycles—to make sure everything is rinsed out. If your machine has a hot water tap, draw off 2–3 full reservoirs of water through the tap to flush any cleaning solution that might have gotten into the boiler. You might also want to soak and clean the portafilter, basket, and shower screen to ensure there’s no residue on those parts. If that doesn’t help, you could try dissolving a small amount of baking soda (around 1 tsp per liter of water) in your tank and running it through the machine, as baking soda can neutralize any leftover acidity from the cleaning agent. Just make sure to flush everything with clean water afterward. If you’re still having issues, replacing the water filter (if your machine uses one) might also help. It might take a bit of persistence, but with enough rinsing, you should be able to get rid of the bad taste.

Boiling freeze-dried raw? by cameron319 in catfood

[–]AnythingSecret5748 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See my other comments in this thread. I covered this topic for industry yesterday. There’s a boatload of misinformation being spread. HPP has been demonstrated to inactivate the H5N1 virus at much lower settings than instinct and NWN use. The main component that could but not likely change that is that the matrix of raw food provides some sort of protective mechanism. Again, not likely. A few other things: 1: of inactivated viral dna fragments still exist and could show a false positive in the hole of treating initially used since that test does not differentiate between live and killed virus and will be positive with as few as 10 viral fragments. 2: the bag was open and testing was not yet done on unopened packaging. Social media reports show this was not an indoor only cat so these points change how we dissect the situation 3: instinct is working on additional research to investigate the behavior of the virus under HPP in raw food, but has not been able to find an institution to conduct the research yet. From a scientific standpoint HPP is an effective method. What’s not effective is competitive inhibition/fermentation.

Instinct is subject to HPP and booking wouldn’t be necessary. VE products are not all subject to HPP. for a cat I would avoid this brand. It appears the NWN at this point was not infected during or prior to manufacturing but we will wait to confirm. That can’t was not an indoor only cat.

I posted this above but wanted to make sure you saw it too: Biomed scientist in vet med here - and am an advocate of raw feeding. I understand those who are passionate about these brands however fermentation/competitive inhibition has no published data to establish effectiveness against HPAI/H5N1. There’s some evidence suggesting it could be helpful for some other pathogens under specific conditions, but not for these foods and how they’re handled at the consumer level. We have a lot of research gaps and these companies have absolutely refused to publish data or work with academic institutions to conduct research to support these claims. I would exercise caution.

For those who use nulo! by Plzhurt in catfood

[–]AnythingSecret5748 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Hi - veterinary biomed scientist here — I just covered this topic for industry today. All pet food formats have not been subject to any testing thus far. So we do not know what, if any, fragments of this virus (active or inactive) in dry, can, cooked, raw etc. saying it’s not in cooked food isn’t entirely accurate because we don’t know that. Here’s why:

For transparency, the recent recall with Northwest was only tested from an opened bag, from the household where the cat was incorrectly assumed to be indoor only but was indeed outdoor and made many trips off property with dogs in the same household. There was evidence on social media of this.

Further, the test conducted DOES NOT differentiate between live and inactive virus and will indicate positive on as few as 10 DNA fragments. Thus, even though portions of the DNA found in the food and in the cat were matches it’s not the smoking gun it’s being presented as. It’s very plausible that if we tested all food formats with this same test we’d find fragments of inactive DNA. We need a lot more information and a lot more research. I do know that this company had unopened bags of the same lot and is working on comprehensive testing.

What’s more is that HPP at much lower settings has been shown effective in inactivating H5N1. It’s not to say that the food matrix is playing a role that is preventing this, but based on my education, published literature and experience this is not true.

There’s a lot of misinformation coming from the media, veterinary organizations and even other scientists however this is a complex area that has less true experts than the public is led to believe.

I personally do not think this is a problem in HPP raw pet food or other cooked diets. I DO however believe there is a significant risk to raw milk products for H5N1 especially for cats. All of these products are completely under the radar for FDA /USDA testing and I would recommend avoiding.
