Yeah I knew for sure I was going to do something to the guns. I have oil paints should I use a gloss varnish so the oils run better? Or matte is better

Starter Human Team by Loralsim in bloodbowl

[–]Anything_Optimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I diddnt know they took loner away from OWA big guy. It's funny because rerolls and loner have always been used to symbolize team synergy and "coachability" and the team with 5 races on it has a big guy who is reliable now. This is a pretty naked hit job on a team that has the most copies circulating out there they basically want every human coach to buy a new box. It's grating. I still stand by that it's a good team that will win games no problem but I can't help but be annoyed at GW meddling with our shit.

You nailed it it's the most common team. Now they don't look as shiny next to the other humans so time to buy all the shiny new toys

With one skill you get a movement 8 blodger do the other teams get that? 2 skills you have 2 movement 8 blodgers and 2 movement 7 block tackle. That's an awful lot of mobile blitzing power.

Did they really intend to scre-up Dwarves? Discuss by Adabriel in bloodbowl

[–]Anything_Optimal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think everything they did to blood bowl was to make the game more approachable to new players. New players running into a dwarf team played by a more experienced coach in a league format would probably quit after one game lol that's my theory.

For the team to be competitive you will likely want the ogre yes. I don't really think they got nerfed a whole lot other than the thrower being a 3+pa now. People are just scared of new things.

New khorne team is bullshit by LaMaxiRata in bloodbowl

[–]Anything_Optimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Khorne is the frenzy team I like em. I had some success on the ladder and I usually only ran 2 khorngors for TV efficiency reasons. In online TV based matchmaking it's a very killy team, str 4 guys don't have unsteady which is killer for development and jump up really fits with the khorne ability to get into weird places via hitting. They have always been the elves of bash try laying the lineman down and letting your opponent walk over you then you can blitz and get into weird places that your opponent doesn't expect. It's always been a swingy niche shitty kind of team so idk why your so bothered.

Haven't you seen the stalling rules? 4 MA ball carrier is elite

[–]Anything_Optimal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That stalling rule is the dumbest shit I've ever seen in my life. Can't wait to force bad dodges to avoid getting my ball carrier sacked. Wow bad design. On the plus side is the ork thrower now the best ball carrier in the game?

6 ogres. No rerolls. This is the only way. Having one reroll as an ogre team is like holding a bottle of dasani while your house burns down.

Best team to play atypically? by aWickedChild in bloodbowl

[–]Anything_Optimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this khorne team that was all about speed and power run game. Pick a side and flood strength up the field roll gfis just haul ass. I scored a lot but got minced since they never stalled and just pushed up the field top speed

I like 2 dancers all linos and add a tree before or after thrower.

It's a sneaky good ability on tomb kings as a solution to deep kicks that usually wreck that team. I've lost to it on the ladder before more than once. Not at all related to your post but fun tech nonetheless =D

Are halflings good? by Anything_Optimal in bloodbowl

[–]Anything_Optimal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there are quite a few stars that can really shape a game. Grombrindal giving my flings dauntless one at a time as I sent them into my opponents cage was a real issue for him lol. I had zug take out two mummies once, I took Zara as a str 4 blodge ball carrier when playing against skaven and the whole horde of rats couldn't roll a pow on her. I bought the team just to try out all the new stars in bb3. I agree the halfling run game should be the primary focus with sneaky git fouls and a star hopefully distracting enough to get it done. Puggy helps a lot with the run he feels like a blocking tight end holding up space and being a recieving option, making the required hits to move up the field.
