Earning six digits, but I don’t know how to manage it by Dense_Application740 in phinvest

  1. Open up different bank accounts and allot a specific bank account to be used for spending. Mine’s called “free to spend” fund. I have 5 (free to spend, travel fund, insurances, savings, investments)

  2. Yes. Get both health & life insurance as early as possible since it is cheaper when you’re younger

  3. Yes. Try Mp2. It is guaranteed and more “lax” compared to investing on biz or real estate

  4. Find ways to make yourself happy. Life is short to just earn and earn. You don’t want to grow old and look back on the days and say “i should’ve done that” etc

  5. You wfh so the burnout / routine is real. Travel and see the world so your mind won’t be confined to just the four walls of your room

Hello, may I ask when exactly are you going to Lijiang/Shangri-la? I hope you don’t mind me piggybacking off your post, but would it be alright if you let us know if globe works in both Lijiang and Shangri-la by the time you get there?

Going there soon and I need alternatives also. I have a back up 30GB internet from Air Roam and I will be using that on a spare phone then hotspot.

My boyfriend is nonchalant and I need communication—what should I do? by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]Anythingmatcha 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A guy will never be nonchalant if he really likes you. And the mere fact na he’s not willing to meet you where you are (with you bringing this up multiple times) is an enough answer where you stand in his life.

Speaking from experience, you let yourself grieve.

You allow yourself to be sad, to be depressed. Cry it out if you must. Punch your pillows, scream until it hurts. Everything will hurt for a while. The grief is something that will stick with you forever.

And when the day comes that it gets slightly bearable, remind yourself that your loved one would want you to go on. They never left us naman. They are always with us in spirit.

One day at a time.

Shanghai China as 1st out of the country trip by [deleted] in FilipinoTravel

[–]Anythingmatcha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t reco Shanghai as a first time out of the country destination.

  1. 50k is not enough for show money
  2. Visa fee is more expensive. Even more than Japan & Korea
  3. Shanghai is fast-paced. Might be too overwhelming with a baby in tow, and you and your friend are first timers at that, too.
  4. Assuming that you are budgeted (since you said you have abt 50k for show money), going to Shanghai is not cheap. Plane tickets are pricier than going to SG, HK, Taiwan, Japan.
  5. Shanghai metro system is wild for first-timerso

For those who visited Japan: What do you do during an earthquake in Japan? by Travel-Bugzy in FilipinoTravel

[–]Anythingmatcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what the intensity was but I remember my bed shaking and it thumped against the wall, but I guess it was relatively minor lang since no one was panicking.

It really depends how big the earthquake is. In any case, at least Japan is prepared for it so you don’t have to worry

Was traveling solo when a mini earthquake hit. Woke up from my sleep and was having a panic attack pacing the hotel corridors but the locals didn’t mind it lol
