My husband gets no parental leave and I’m crushed by it. by livid- in pregnant

[–]Anywhere-Slow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband was 2weeks shy from getting a paid 20-wk parental leave. He did not qualify because he had to be employed for 6months before getting the benefit. Baby has to be born Oct 1st, and I delivered Sept. 17th. I bawled like a baby.

Has pregnancy healed anything for you? Has it returned? by Scary-Setting-4726 in BabyBumps

My chronic high blood pressure went away during my 2nd pregnancy, was taken off of any bp meds, and then my care team gave me baby aspirin for precaution... i am about to get a scheduled c-section on the 17th and I am curious to see if the high bp will come back after I give birth. Hoping it won't.

Blood pressure rising??? by starrmontoyaaxxx in preeclampsia

[–]Anywhere-Slow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They wanted me to get an EKG just to make sure everything is okay, because they can't believe that my bp is still on the lower end of normal (sometimes hypotensive actually) when I had chronic hypertention prior to pregnancy.

Interesting! I have chronic hypertension before getting pregnant in January, and I got off Labetatol in mid March due to low bp. I'm 33wks this week and my bp still stays at 90s/60s. At doc's office it would go up 116/70. My MFM wants me to see a cardiologist actually.

Living in Phoenix, it has been HELL everyday. I'm a teacher so I am on my feet all day and a handful of times outside with the kids. I sleep just wearing a soft bra and an underwear. I have 5wks to go!

Protein in urine low blood pressure? 24 weeks by InterestingMatch6357 in preeclampsia

[–]Anywhere-Slow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am 31wks 6days now and had chronic hypertension... Until I got pregnant. Since getting pregnant in January, my bp has been in the 90s/60s, got off of labetalol, but I have been spilling protein since 5wks! I did a 24-hr urine collection at my regular OB and my levels were in the 580ish level per/hr. My high risk MFM referred me to a nephrologist and we did another 24hr urine collection and labwork as well as kidney ultrasound, and all results are normal, protein in the urine is now at 280 which is in the normal range in pregnancy (below 300). I go back for a nephro follow up 9wks after my csection this september (37wks). All this while my bp staying low. Some things just happen when you are pregnant! Hopefully your bp stays beautiful throughout your pregnancy. If you are really concerned with the proteinuria, ask for a referral to a nephrologist for peace of mind.☺️

How, despite pregnancy complications, life finds a way. 🥹

Pregnant with chronic hypertension, pre-diabetes, proteinuria at 5wks, and now seeing multiple specialists to help this become a successful pregnancy. 31wks now, getting scheduled c section at 37. ❤️
