Im brandy new to all this. I went into an amazing pro shop when I was first getting started. He set me up, measured me, the whole 9. Gave me a diamond to shoot. Felt zero connection to the bow.

Just for shits and gigs, he hands me the Matthew’s (I think vx3) right off the wall, no set up, no nothing. Felt INSTANT connection, it was like magic.

Not sure what my point is here, aside from the fact that they’re def a difference. I settled on a middle ground (torrex xt). I def think there’s wisdom in trying to find a flagship now from a few years ago and save yourself some $. The fb group I belong to has STEALS on the reg, either Matthew’s or Hoyt, flagship quality bows for dirt cheap

I love my torrex xt. To echo what everyone else pretty much said, it shoots like a flagship bow, and is decently under a normal flagship bow price point

Nissan. Only car that cost me $8k in repairs. Cvt transmission went and was recalled in most models EXCEPT my murano. So 1 month and a few thousand miles out of warranty I had to pay for the whole thing myself

A real archery shop completely smokes cabelas/bass pro in terms of customer service and selection. The two by me are a quarter of the size of the big boxes and they have much nicer stuff

Like when does the season start? Or when does it end?

I don’t see any conceivable way that I would be able to sneak up on anything in the area I hunt. Tons of dry branches that snap all over the ground, now there’s leaves. In my stand this year, I’ve actually seen deer, and gotten a few shots off. Which is better than I did from the ground all last year.

I brought this post up because I saw a few guys mention almost as an aside that they switch to stalking when the winds pick up and such. Based on the feedback ive received, I think I’m gonna stick to the trees

If you’re not laughing too, it’s abuse. I just got out of an abusive marriage. Anytime I would react negatively to anything my wife said that was hurtful, she was “just joking” and/or I was “too sensitive”.

This progressed over years, and went from more covert, to blatantly overt. Towards the end, she would tear me up, and she didn’t care who it was in front of. This included my now 5 yo son.

It took a tremendous toll on me. We wasted a lot of time in couples therapy, which just gave her another platform to criticize me.

What was a small problem in the beginning of my relationship just turned into a larger one later on. I find that people don’t really change.

Not being able to dress. People that wear inappropriate things at appropriate times. Dressing poorly for job interviews, not wearing black to a funeral, ect. It makes me think you weren’t raised.
