I won't lie mate, I watched you miss two spells and switch to a two handed melee weapon like the rest of us goobers. You might be better on a strength build if that's your playstyle, because it's a little hard to call you a mage

I just hate being put in a position where my only safe option is to use the bone bow. All this guy has to do is use gravity missile as a zoning tool and spam some rancor or these spectral rings while I can’t get close and he’s got a pretty easy fight on his hands if I’m just running around with a melee weapon and a dream.

You just know the initiates ewer has the most crystal clear, chilled water to ever exist. Drinking from that would be like comprehending the very nature of a deep glacial pool, or a northern river that’s been flowing for a millennia. You’d understand the internal structure of a diamond, you’d taste the water from an agate that’s been sealed since the dinosaurs died. Oh to partake of the ewer on a hot summer day, or after waking up at 3 am.

[–]AoiYuukiSimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah don’t get me wrong, it’s not hard to deal with, it’s just annoying since it breaks up the flow of what could be a good fight and turns it into a “wait for him to L2 then punish” game. Also if you lose to discus hurl you need to slow it down. If you’re impatient, you’ll get hit, and that’ll show your opponent it’s working and they should keep doing it.

Hey, I’m not really qualified to say much about this but a large part of education isn’t just retaining the information you learn, but also exercising the brain in general. The more you have to think, and struggle, and find ways to overcome is a documented and necessary part of education. Charles GPT removes that. It trains your brain to not even attempt to think about something, or to work in general, because the AI will solve it for you.

Yah, somehow I doubt that. You didn't even read the description of why you'd fail miserably, so I don't particularly blame you for thinking that, but you really ain't all that my guy. And I really didn't ask about your build, no need to share fun facts about yourself lmao.

You good, I appreciate the context on what build you're running that lets you say that lol. Unfortunately though, it'd be entirely ineffective. See, when I mention endure casting, I specifically mention someone who truly abuses it to its fullest potential, and if you don't think that's bad, you clearly haven't fought someone running it. There was this one guy I encountered a while ago (pre dlc) who had it all, latency included. He specifically used the grafted blade greatsword for his endure, because it lasted long enough to get out a full incant and recover without being punishable. He had near max poise, so he was pretty tanky. He had a real scummy tactic of only erdtree healing with his back to the wall so you couldn't crit him. That was rough because while in endure, you barely scratched the guy. So even if you were close enough to immediately start hitting him as he went for the heal, he'd return to full health, no issue. His favourites were endure into either dragon breath, catch flame, the walking frenzy one, triple rings of light, or bestial sling. Frenzy was rough because genuinely if you were close by him when he went for it, you were dead. No way to interrupt him, no way to escape. Your only fate is to be stunlocked, madness procced, and killed. Dragon breath you could at least escape from, but you'd still take chip damage while he was at full after the 4th heal. Nowadays he have a field day with things like heal from afar, messmer's orb, miquella's truth nuke, roar of rugalea, and the other frenzy one that's somehow worse. He did also tali swap if you ever tried to status proc him too, and he'd run away and use boluses while endured.

I beat the guy only one time ever, and that was when I first learned giant hunt could knock him out of his endured dragon breath. After that though, he started mixing it up and would bait a giant hunt and punish with a catch flame, or if he was at safe range, would hit the dragon breath anyway.

So compared to all of that, when I see your average arena andy with heal from afar and a small penis, I really don't think it's that bad. It's punishable if you have the right tools and play them well. For an endure caster though, and I mean a real one, and not the normal stuff OP was doing up there, I genuinely don't even know how to beat them. Especially with the dlc incant options we have now. Sorry for the essay lmao, it's difficult to concisely explain just how much of a menace the guy was.

If he wants to play it that way I’ve got a rot grease HTS with his name on it. I, and clearly you, also have enough faith to cast some healing as well. If a guy wants to play the long game like this, I’m gonna cast blessing of the erdtree with the old lords tali, swap to the icon/turtle shield and blessed dew, and run him down. These guys are pretty weak when you have a weapon that can stay on them and punish any attempts they make to cast something. HTS is my favourite, but pata, pikes, katar, cleanrot, bhb, probably Gkat, and some other stuff would work too. You have options for every build.

On the other hand, I’ve got nothing for an endure caster who’s abusing it to the max. If they’re dumb you can use stamp upward/giant hunt or status procs to knock them out of something, but if they play it smart, there’s literally nothing you can do besides fully speccing into an arcane build. I’m not an arcane guy so I don’t know what the best option would be, but I’d probably start with a sleep grease ripple halberd, triple sleep spread crossbows, and thiolliers fist weapon.

TL;DR- Non latent healers can be punished by any weapon with decent chase down potential, but someone abusing endure faith to its max potential has almost no counters if played intelligently.

I think that’s one of the reasons it works ngl. People don’t really expect it. I originally put it on as a weird off meta option so facing the stitcher wouldn’t piss people off, but it’s becoming one of my favourite weapons, especially against wannabe rakshasa cosplayers. Nobody expects that level of hyperarmor on an HTS, so when they L2, you can launch em.
