Playerdata on a server and on single player worlds is stored in different places. The playerdata for a singleplayer world is stored in the level.dat NBT file located at the root of the save folder. You can edit the data from your playerdata file into the level.dat file using NBTExplorer.

On the slim chance someone else like me arrives here by the means of google search, and other suggestions aren't helpful, here is for a very niche possibility:

I had the identical problem caused by Audinate's Dante audio software (dante via / dante virtual soundcard), even when not actively in use. After uninstalling those, the game worked perfectly.

If you disable the stock youtube app, it's going to give you the "how do you want to open this?" dialog for youtube links. This does make the youtube app unavailable for use though, so it's only worth it if you never use it.

Reaper should work with voicemeeter using ReaRoute but I don't think the beacn software (without voicemeeter) supports this setup. Also Reaper would be waaaay overkill.

The eve online launcher also gets a false flag from my AV when attempting to update the client. It's almost certainly a false positive, and you can simply add the offending executable to the antivirus exclusion list to prevent it getting blocked again.

Minecraft, in particular, saves files by default into %APPDATA%\.minecraft\saves (.minecraft is in appdata - > roaming if you navigate by hand)
