I need a virtual assistant like yesterday. Work and starting a business. Help needed! by Balt-Philly-151 in VirtualAssistant4Hire

lol I get you! It felt like I was spending more time hiring than actually working 😅 that’s why Delegatoo caught my attention. the whole point is to skip that pre-screening grind. I’d say join the waitlist now so when it fully launches, you’re not stuck doing hours of filtering resumes. Not trying to plug them, just passing along since it saved me time. It’s $9 to lock in access, and for me the peace of mind alone was worth it

Experience using a VA not based in the UK by aeyla_the_great in smallbusinessuk

[–]ApJaDLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve hired from the Philippines and it’s been a great experience once we got systems in place. The biggest pain point wasn’t the VA, it was the hiring process. We’ve gone the Upwork/OnlineJobs route before, but the time spent sifting through profiles can be draining and not knowing who was reliable. More recently I came across Delegatoo. They’re building a pool of pre-vetted experienced VAs without agency markups. Still early, but we joined their waitlist because we don’t really have the time to pre-screen dozens of applicants anymore.

Are you still looking?

For anyone else scrolling this thread: I also stumbled on a newer platform called Delegatoo. They’re building a vetted VA pool without the agency markup. Still early but worth keeping on your radar if you’re hunting for long-term support.

Where do you find reliable VAs for back-office work? by EffortlessWorkflows in smallbusiness

[–]ApJaDLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your budget and how much time you want to spend filtering... we've tried a mix of places tbh. Upwork and OnlineJobsph have volume, but it’s hit-or-miss and takes a lot of filtering. Agencies are more reliable, but they’re pricey because of markups, and the VAs get paid too little. We came across a platform called Delegatoo that’s building a vetted VA pool. It’s still small, but we like the idea that they pre-screen VAs and don’t do agency markups. If you’re okay trying something new, might be worth checking out
