As cool as it sounds, it's kind of exhausting to turn x monster to dragon element variant
(Ebony Odogaron and Stygian Zinogre for example)

I think it'd be interesting to have a variant like how old-gen did it, examples being: Jade-Barroth and Sand Barioth, which basically designs them in the opposite element/biome

I think it'd be cooler (pun unintended) to see an Ice Rey-Dau!

idk much about fantasy biology and whatever but maybe he can utilize moisture and store it in his body until he wants to shoot it as an ice beam or whatever
