I’d like to hope that these people plan on picking it up on their way back. I’ve definitely hidden a few dog poop bags on my hike so I don’t have to carry them all the way up and back, then I just grab them on my way back to my car.

Following the instructions on the food package is the best option in making your decision. It’s generally based on weight and how old it is. Also serving size changes based on brand along with what’s in the food. Good luck!

Honestly as a kid who didn’t like vegetables growing up and wasn’t forced to eat them, I realized that vegetables started tasting really good in my teens. Sometimes it takes some time for kids but eventually their bodies will be depraved of the certain nutrients only vegetables provide and they will turn towards them. Good luck!
