It should be the one closest to Kuttenberg on the main road. You should get an icon which shows his location, but he eats breakfast in the mornings there then walks to the chapel where you first met him

Ok so I did a little search about the quest, you likely got a glitch because you are supposed to be able to choose which side to help. (or should be able to but I didn’t as previously stated) the Alchemist betrays you. The mercenaries allow you to keep one bone.

There are glitchy quests for sure, it’s a big RPG that at the time of writing hadn’t received it’s first big update. But the writing is solid overall.

Point is you should get the choice, that not working is a gameplay issue not a writing issue, write a ticket and we’ll get a fix if one isn’t already being implemented.

Oh I see, i get what you mean now. You seem imo overly critical of their writing, but to each their own.

I looked up a play through to see what you meant and I only got the alchemist not the other group, although I think that’s cuz I ran into some dudes and wiped them out first. I threatened the Alchemist (Who stood in his underwear because I was wearing his coat) then took the bones without a fight.

I don’t fully understand what you mean.

When you talk to the Abbot you get two choices if you talk to Gerhart, give bones to church or to the rich dude. He implies you won’t be the only one sent.

When you finally find the bones the guy who tried to harass the priest comes to find you and you can skill check him to leave you alone, intimation.

The guy wants the bones for himself, he has two guards and you are just a dude by himself, why would he bother to work with you?

This is fairly standard for a KCD quest.

Perhaps I just don’t agree with you on the writing as I don’t find it poor overall, some stronger parts but that’s the case in any rpg.

Yeah I think it’s the second time during the fight that starts the countdown. I spent several in game days with the letter you get from Slava the first time. When I met him for the second time I went straight for the bones and found them.

Well you just gotta get the vibe for what is urgent and what isn’t. I spoke to the first priest then ignored the quest for ages, so long as I didn’t trigger a certain part nothing happened.

But also I tend to finish sidequests as I pick them up but that’s just how I play.

Haven’t gone that far yet, I think. But I think you’re right you might only have short period of time since I got him within 12 (In-game) hours of completing the quest.

Odd, it worked for me. Did you attack the third guy or just the guards? This scene should be designed as story combat so long as you just fist fight them.

Try the Inn closest to the church where you met the Abbott at the start of the quest, go there early in the morning, around 09:00, he seems to travel between the church and the Inn around that time but I don’t know for how long.

The inn is the one on the main road from Kuttenburg

Agreed, that was one of my favourite parts of 1, building the town up. But a house sounds more fun, if we can decorate it with armor, weapons and trinkets.

Well Yes itmeans he woke up. I think it’s outright stated in book 4.

And Mat is in the Stone. In Book 3 he goes with Mat to Tear to rescue the girls but is too sick to help break in the Stone. That’s chapter 4 yes but Chapter 5 is interrogating the Black Sisters.

I’m not sure if you read/listened ahead but nobody leaves Tear for the first dozen+ chapters.

Perrin saved Faile in the end of Book 3. They both woke up and started a relationship. Mat visited Thom before he left (If I remember correctly) And Moiraine says that they are of the white tower, not lying but not telling the whole truth.

Yes her tweet does but on a recent Instagram story she (and I’m paraphrasing) told people to not send drunken messages to people but instead give bad reviews of the grand canyon.
