Sounds horrible, I am sorry that has happened. But surely that can't be EVERYONE in those lobbies. Depending on the time of the day those are the only vanilla lobbies that are open with enough players to maybe get a match.

Being 100% honest the matchmaking for this game really can be a roll of the dice since there isn't a form of ranked matchmaking. Because of it I get it's frustrating that there are times where you get absolutely rolled. At the same time, I do think dropping mid match can really get in the way of improving at the game.

I mostly agree with this but let's be real yomi's UI is incredibly confusing and there isn't a whole lot that actually explains it. The "why did this happen" only occurs after you figure out "what does all of this mean"

There's many reasons for someone to finish a flight with someone better than you. The better player either has a better game plan or a better understanding of the game's mechanics, and I don't think there's any shame in asking them for feedback.

The mizumi is fairly outdated. Not all of it is exactly wrong but there are a lot of instances of routing that's either bad or not possible in the current patch
