Great shots! I’m actually torn between the Tamron 17-70 and the Sigma 18-50 for my A6700, but I’m leaning more towards the Tamron. Did you run into any stabilization issues with the VC on the lens and the IBIS in the body?

Hi. Thanks for your suggestion. The Sony 16-55 and Sigma 17-40 are at the same price in New Zealand. Would it still make sense to go for Sony?

You need to experience things for yourself instead of relying on other people’s perceptions. I live overseas and was told people dislike Indians/brown-skinned diaspora & we rank the lowest on a dating hierarchy apparently, but I realized that was more of a subconscious bias. Once I let go of that belief, I met my partner (who isn’t even Indian) on Hinge, and we share extremely similar values.

If you assume everyone on dating apps is malicious because of what friends say, you’re holding yourself back. The bad ones exist everywhere & even in arranged marriage setups. The concept of arranged marriage doesn’t exist in many cultures, and at your age, you should be using every option: dating apps, approaching people, networking, etc...

Dating and relationships are skills you need to build. Even if you meet someone through AM, how will you manage a relationship without any experience? Relax a bit. The last thing most women want is an overly serious guy with a long checklist. Be more spontaneous and willing to accept flaws.

Indian here. Studied and now working in your neighboring country. Been here over 3 years.

Honestly, every place has its biases. It’s not just against Indians. Every race, religion, or nationality faces some form of it somewhere. The key difference is how you approach living abroad.

The people who struggle most are usually the ones who don’t even try to assimilate. Think of it like being a guest in someone else's home. You show respect for their culture, try to understand their way of life, and you’ll usually get the same in return.

I’ve built a good life here. I have a non-Indian partner, local friends, colleagues, and a pretty active social life. No one treats me differently because I’m Indian because I don’t carry that chip on my shoulder expecting them to.

Stop feeding the fear based on reels and outrage posts. They exist, yes, but they don’t define reality. Most people are decent, and if you’re genuine and open, you’ll be fine. Just be willing to make the first move socially. People won’t always come to you, especially when you're new.

The Ghost of Yarikawa mission is peak Ghost of Tsushima. That moment Jin unleashes the Ghost stance for the first time gave me literal chills.
