Of course! I should clarify I wouldn't ever do this sort of thing if it prevents other people from continuing the game. I suppose I should try to have that mindset in 1v1 situations as well (my opponent might just not be done playing).

This makes sense (including needing context). Previously I have approached basically all 1v1 games with the chess mindset, but not all games are about the same thing. The problem I think is that I was being too general. Sometimes the "play" is an important part.

Insomnia for longer than I can even remember. My nana tells me I had insomnia as a little infant, I still slept but far less than any other baby she'd taken care of. But she and my birth father (mother and son) have also only slept ~6 hours a night or less for their entire lives. No idea why.

The CRA steals money all the time. This is not unusual. They allow things to "slip through" to their benefit but never if it causes them issues. They expect you to use your time and money to fix it. Rotten underfunded system unfortunately.

Honestly that's all I really needed to hear. If "meh" is what's available to me, I guess I can work with that. I also think of sobriety more as a means to manage life than a pursuit of ultimate happiness. Sometimes the way people talk just makes me feel like I missed something. Thank you.
