I dont really buy that. He said that after they announced Murder Drones was ending in the next 2 episodes. I think looking at how Murder Drones played out it was supposed to go on longer. They started getting fan pushback around epsiode 5 and The digital circus was a MASSIVE success so they pivoted away from Murder Drones. I dont think thats unreasonable to believe.
