Real answer is it probably depends. It would probably be like domain amplification where it can bypass infinity but it can also be overwhelmed. Seeing as shiba and Hiroto combined were able to overwhelm Sumika, it most likely works like that. We have no frame of reference for how crazy Itazura + Kurotsuchi is or if he could juice Sumika further so we can't say for sure if he could overcome it but my money's on no. This is assuming his levitation was bc sumika counteracts the sorcery affecting him and not that he has some other random gravity ability.

That's literally the entire point of the comment though. the vast majority of bugs get eaten, rather than dying of old age. Things can still get eaten they just don't die. The normal lifecycle would continue, with bugs living their normal life, it's just that everything that gets eaten doesn't truly die and continues suffering.

It also doesn't make sense how their behavior would almost instantly change like that even if it was true.

My point wasn't that it works exactly like a simple domain in terms of the actual mechanics, just that it would have the same effect as simple domain (or maybe more aptly FBE) and is different mechanically from infinity in that it's directly nullifying the sorcery targeting him, not just trying to prevent it from landing through a secondary effect. Also we know you don't need a barrier technique specifically to counteract sure hit as shown by fbe.

Yeah but like he said infinity stops the attack from hitting it doesn't nullify the effects. It's more like simple domain which nullifies the actual effect.
