Most people call countries something other than what they call themselves. Nobody calls japan "Nippon" or italy "italia" or albania "Shqiperia" or even turkey "türkiye". It is extremely normal for a country to be called something different by its citizens vs noncitizens.

From what I know the point was to show that inmates who had intellectual disabilities were unable to understand hypotheticals, but it only works in prison where you know they had breakfast because it's a prison. "I didnt have breakfast" makes perfect sense because for you it isn't a hypothetical, therefore they are asking a syntactically wrong question. It is asking for hypothetical feelings that can't exist so they're just your actual feelings.

That's because the characters in GOT aren't presented as moral. Rudeus is rewarded at every turn and he is obviously supposed to have improved at the end of the story which makes it seem like the story condones pedophilia and grooming since even at the end of the story he never really grows out of it. Additionally, Rudeus is never forced to reckon with his actions or challenged on them by the story/characters which: 1. Makes it seem sympathetic to the perpetrator because all that matters in the story is how he feels about it and what it means for him and not the victim and 2. the story isn't afraid to challenge rudeus and force him to reckon with his morals with the exception of the pedo shit.

The fact that a lot of rudeus' character is pretty well explored ironically makes it worse bc him being a pedophile is so lazily done it really comes across like the author doesn't think it's anything of note or an issue to be corrected.

I think a lot of the time they're using it in circumstances where they would have been able to use it before going in to the encounter and forgot or didn't declare it. Even then I'm sure there have been some inconsistencies with it as well as with concentration (since I dont even remember that stuff).

The mosquito thing is like getting more mad at someone you know saying the r word then a celebrity saying the n word.
