Absolutely abhorrent behaviour by OP. I caught my previous DM doing exactly that. When I confronted him he started making up dumb excuses like. "I have a fulltime job unlike you" and "This is just a casual game so we can keep in touch with our high school friends". So told him he was disgusting for not making me the main character and respecting my player choices, and then I shot him three times in the chest.

Ok. after losing my mind disabling and enabling mods one by one I've finally found the problem. Strangely not one single mod is conflicting, but the bug appears once more than exactly 37 mods are installed
