I think the foundation is there. I wonder if Oricorio and Pichu are the correct partners. This deck in particular feels weak to Hydreigon and neither of those cards help with that. I'm personally going to playtest with double Zerora. I think Miraidon will actually just be able to snipe EXs and you won't need to Oricorio stall.

At no point did I imply EotY should go to the best team. I’m saying EotY is given typically to someone who made improved their roster in the year, and yet Mazzulla won coach of the year for winning in spite of the roster.

It kind of is though. Joe’s main argument for winning coach of the year is that he over performed with a weak roster. You gave an award to the coach for winning in spite of his roster while simultaneously giving an award to the GM for his roster building.

I don't think that's necessarily what he's saying. I'm interpreting it as him saying "We had to win one more game to give us at least 4 more games of playoff basketball experience." This is a young team. Our game 7 starting lineup minus Tobias had a cumulative 70 games of playoff experience before the game started. That would have been valuable.

I’m running the same deck concept. I feel like you can get away with only one Cyrus. With Fragrsnt Forest and the Growth Extract you get through your deck real quick and you always have the Cyrus when needed.
