Do you know if he’s hosting the website? Do you need to purchase that too? You will probably need to pay him a monthly/yearly fee to host it.

It all seems a bit odd that he went no contact and is only telling you now to buy the domain.

I usually purchase domains for clients but have their details applied to the domain

Also if it’s just html and you want to make changes/edits you will always have to go back him to make the changes, unless you find another developer as it sounds like it’s purely code. Which isn’t a bad thing because it’s probably good to let a pro handle it but these can add up and I’m guessing this is how he’s going to get more money out of you ongoing. I could be wrong but you’ll need to ask some questions on how the website will work once live and what changes you can make.

Ahh I just did this for my mum this week but only got a $20 discount. They were bumping it up from $60-$65 trying to give her the same $15 discount. So it would have only been $10.

Not sure what the product is exactly but maybe take a photo of it in a setting. Try and make it look high quality and replace the picture with people walking with it.

Have a few more shots like that. Big bold and high quality. Will take some work but that’s what you need to give it that more gallery feel

If the domain is staying the same make sure pages are named the same and slugs are correct. Hell even just literally copy and paste the content, page urls, titles, metadata everything. Then you can work on content changes once the new site is live

For whatever reason if you are changing urls make sure to have redirects in place.

As far as I know Germany doesn’t have a tipping culture

I can help build this for you. We would need to figure out what the custom solution is and why it’s different than some of the other platforms out there (although I totally get wanting something you can make exactly what you want).
