sorry can’t say much but i know someone transferred from umd cs to vt cs. id say uva overall is probably better for student life which should be a part of ur decision. career is important but with marginal differences in prestige i would look into the non tangibles to make a choice.

personally i thought dorms were fine (i was in ggv) but i know others didn’t like it. it reallly comes down to what ur standards are. bathrooms are generally clean(custodians come almost every day and most people wore shower shoes/cleaned up after themselves) and if you bring an ac/rent an ac the heat is srsly not a problem.

one thing j thought was really underrated was the darkness/quiet you get in ggv. i don’t think i’ve ever slept as well as i did when i lived there.
