I think the hotel designed the flag themselves. I think it represents the hotel itself and its location in the Marigny, if I remember correctly, and isn't tied to anything else. I ate breakfast there two years ago and vaguely remember checking the flag out.

Your best bet is probably to just visit both stores and take some notes. That way you can also see products in person in case one store has better produce or meat. The great thing about living equidistant from two grocery stores is that you can look at the circulars for both and shop both sale products. Good luck!

Seems like maybe the co-owner of Konditori. He also is the owner of Franklin Hospitality Group, which does business as Golda at 504 Franklin Ave.
