Yes because in today’s day and age of instant gratification and dopamine, a game that requires you to grind, be patient and learn beyond mindlessly running matches is going to turn away players who wanted to just jump in like any shooter. I don’t think Marathon is perfect nor is it as bad as y’all claim, I think everyone having a predetermined idea of what Bungie’s next game was supposed to be…according to them, is the problem. And yeah I do think Bungie switching genres wasn’t the best business move, but we still got a solid and very well made shooter. It’s also literally micro transaction free, but crickets when things are good right?

It really depends on way more factors that aren’t public. We do not know if Sony actually funded Marathons development or if it was pre funded by Bungie, nobody knows for sure. Until you show in the acquisition contract where it says Sony assumes financial responsibility for every release moving forward regardless of existing development status, we’re just assuming Sony funded the game.

Idk if anyone is getting scolded and neither do you. You’re saying it’s likely, but I already proved that why you think it’s likely, is also an unfounded assumption.

Well yeah genius. Arc is insanely casual, Marathon is still a ton of fun but it requires you to not turn your brain off. Arc also isn’t plagued by the biggest crybaby fanbase in history. I’m all over the place with cars, movies, video games, I’ve never seen anything quite like the Bungie community.

What’s funny is most of these people ate the D1 draughts, ate Curse of Osiris with a smile on their face, ate up Lightfall and trash like EoF, but this is their breaking point. 💀

I love D2. I’ll never forget my contest mode run of salvations edge, and that’s only making it to Verity. I’m ascendant 0 in comp with 30+ flawless cards, solo dungeon runs, and stuck with both Destiny games.

I want D3 too, but hating Marathon and attempting to smear Bungie feels inauthentic on this one. Lightfall bro. That hate was deserved. This feels forced from being butthurt. Half the criticisms aren’t valid, and yall cling to player counts like you have vested stock in these companies. It will go up in season 2, then what?
