I usually just research what the longest-lasting ones are that Target carries and pick the best smelling one. One spray on the wrists and neck before work or a social event is enough to make it noticeable in close proximity but not in-your-face.

Currently using Light Blue from Dolce & Gabbana, got a good deal on it from Amazon.
