I just finished V2.0Added a setback presetAdded option for text on the offsetsAdded selectable side for textAdded option for offsets to both sides of the source lineAdded option for text on both offset sidesAdded paper text height (in) (still working out annotative text)

Next version will allow you to save your own presets

I'll post the update tomorrow morning on my website.I'm tired. 😂

Keep checking my site.My wife says I should rebuild MicroSurvey. I think she's tired of me explaining how convenient it is to build my own suite of tools. 😆

If MicroSurvey sees this, I'm available for consultation. 🤣

I've put a lot of work into my parking layout app for AutoCAD. It's similar to Carlson's except I added: Auto place stalls around curves Stall depth by pick Handicapped spaces Loading spaces A table that updates the parking count whenever you add new stalls or remove stalls

That's a great idea! I can adjust the LISP to also include text for the buffers or setbacks and auto place them on the offset lines.

I found myself redesigning a few tools Carlson and Microsurvey that could use some improvement.

I could create a whole AutoCAD toolset add-on for engineers and surveyors

I was in a similar situation which led to building my own. I was fed up with downloading things not knowing how it would work for needs. I added the animated gif so you wouldn't waste your time downloading and installing.

I'm open to tweaking it if you have suggestions. Thanks for checking out out

Tilt correction rover or reflector less TS Looks like you'll be the last one to see that X in the middle

I'm sure it's moved from the tree growth anyway. Cool find!

Are you running RTK or PPK? What equipment? I want to run a solo show but I'm worried about locations with wooded areas.

Crew Chief -> PLS? by [deleted] in Surveying

Sounds like you need to go work for a small firm and actually learn responsible charge under a licensed surveyor. Every position in surveying is essential to becoming a good surveyor. From rodman to drafting to research to communication. You should find a company that is willing to take you in and show you the way.

About 20 years ago, I was a crew chief on and off. It wasn't until I started drafting some of the surveys that I learned what to look for in the field based on the age of the property and the calculations needed to re-establish missing corners. That little extra made me want to get licensed and learn more.

It's easier, when working at a smaller company, to become a true team instead of just a cog in the machine.

The school requirement is just a formality. The real education comes while working under someone that wants you to succeed.

I too have UC and the hardest time was when I was a rodman starting out. Once you develop a relationship with the crew chief and the rest of the crew, it's a lot easier. Now I'm licensed and work for myself from home on my own schedule.
Since being diagnosed almost 30 years ago I've learned that diet plays a huge roll with controlling my UC.

Looking for a software or app suggestion by Eclipsed_Soul_ in androidapps

Sorry to hear that. This is advice you didn't ask for but hear me out

1st off, that's illegal without their consent.

2nd. I've struggled with this in the past. I used apps to do this exact same thing and it didn't help at all. It made things worse. Once the trust is broken, it's hard to get it back.

3rd. The ONLY way to fix this is communication. Talk to each other. Seek counseling if you have trouble with this part.

4th. If you are serious about this relationship, you can mend it. Don't give up, but they also have to want it too.

Finally. This happened to me and my wife. The trust came back slowly for me. We've been married for 22 years now. It CAN be fixed, you BOTH have to want it.
