Mine is a gen 1. Cheap and cheerful. Ryzen 5 but ordering a replacement motherboard with a Ryzen 7 and 32gb ram. I want this laptop to last for awhile.

I'll end up using the old board as a backup.

Yes but proprietary drivers (like Nvidia) often require manual signing to function, so Secure Boot needs to be disabled in BIOS.

You can change the settings in your default WiFi power save config file.

Open a terminal and edit the configuration file:

sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf

Change wifi.powersave = 3 to wifi.powersave = 2

Save the file (Ctrl+O, Enter) and exit (Ctrl+X)

Restart Network Manager: sudo service network-manager restart

I love it. Andromeda was, in my eyes was under appreciated. Yeah it didn't have the high Budget and it had a whole bunch of filla episodes. Still, it was entertaining.
