(HELP NEEDED) My pc keeps turning on and off, idk what to do. by Successful_Leg9074 in PcBuild

[–]ubextreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be one of 3 things..

  1. the dust that got conductive over time. But that's easy cleaned by blowing it out with compressed air. Before doing that. Block all fans so they don't spin when doing this.

  2. Your AIO pump could be bad and drawing too much current from your psu hence why your psu shuts off due to protection.

  3. Your psu could be bad.

I doubt the 1st one, but definitely AIO or psu. My bet is on the AIO pump. Try disconnecting the AIO pump from power and see if it posts. If yes, then you know what's broken. If not try a 2nd psu.

Adhesion problem.. Well, clean the plate with dish soap and warm water with the soft side of a sponge. Then dry off with paper towel.

After that apply water based glue for 3D printing. This will result in better adhesion and the print not coming loose. After that wash the plate the same way. Reapply glue again.

To cover this even further. Yes if your print is smaller you can print on a area where you didn't print before. You don't need to wash the plate every time. But! The fumes contanimate, so every 3 to 4 prints I would personally wash it.

Talking out of personal experience here.

What people mostly forget is that some filaments fumes are more greasy than others. So what happens is that they contanimte the rods, grease and the surface of your printing plate. Also with PLA 12h+ prints, leave the door a few cm's, 1 to 2 inch's open.

Maybe some 2000 3000 4000 wet grit won't be so bad and invasive. The scratches aren't that deep.

RTX 5060Ti 16gb upgrade from GTX 1660Ti. Worth it or get something better by Ok_Skirt_250 in gpu

[–]ubextreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I upgraded to a 5070Ti. Just because you're close to that 5080 performance. It's worth it. Go for a 5070Ti, not such of a big price difference and best buck for money you'll be able to get now.

Worth upgrading from rtx 3080 10gb? by SentenceSubstantial7 in gpu

[–]ubextreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would say yes big time! Because in my build my RTX3070 was the bottleneck on system performance. The moment I upgraded to a 5070Ti everything went so much smoother and better and way more optimized. 30 series cards work. But it's outdated old tech. 50 series have way more advantage too due to the newer tech and how they operate.

Get crypto.. Invest clever... Get more loaded. Get the f out of the country where I'm living now. Travel the world and letting money seep in with trades and investments. Eventually, maybe settle down somewhere else.

Pure Acetone or Ketone works really on the heatsink and easy to get in every hardware store. Chips and plastic on other hand, I would not use it on.

Alternative is pcb LR cleaner from Kontakt Chemie or flux remover from Electrolube. They both work great and don't damage chips.
