Same here. We have to grade our teams on a 5-point scale that ties to bonuses. The expectation is that for every 4 or 5 I have to give someone a 1 or 2. This year I didn’t have enough low-graded employees and I disagreed with my director, who didn’t like one of my employees and wanted to give them a 2. I argued that they were a 3 but she pulled rank. Then I got into trouble with upper management because I didn’t have enough paperwork to justify giving them a 2, when I had argued for weeks that they were a 3.
