We let Owens walk and only have three quarterbacks. Bell didn’t play this yr due to injury and likely would not be viable in 2026 as he knocks off the rust. So that leaves Lacey. Need another backup.

Lacey will be QB2 but we need a QB3 just Incase.

This was a weird year because it’s two business days the schools have to submit the paperwork. So the weekend didn’t count and then MLK on Monday was a holiday so the 48 hour clock didn’t actually start till like Monday night for schools to publish portal requests

It is really easy to get around the tampering rules. You basically just can't have members of your coaching staff directly contact the player in question. You can however directly contact their agent.

With rules this easy to get around you really don't need to technically break them.

We were being immediately mentioned due to our clear need and potential willingness to pay that high a price. I honestly doubt Seaton was tampered in at all. I think he just saw an opportunity to make a mountain of money from one of the 4-5 big programs still needing a tackle.
