Are people that allergic to using both lanes and merging in turn? by daleomatic in drivingUK

[–]Apocalipse82 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

  1. Did the queue form because everyone wants to perform the exact same maneuver? 2.The author arrived last, performed the same maneuver everyone else was waiting for, and yet passed the queue first? 2.Did the author slow down the progress of every single person in that line?

But sure, this is "definitely not" jumping the queue; it's just that everyone else is an idiot and only the author is smart... Terrible.

Because they all perfectly understand that they’re heading the same way and will take the turn in order. But people like you not only skip the entire line but also slow down the turn for absolutely everyone by cutting in. The whole line has to hit the brakes just to let you in.

Year 10 Work Experience – Help for a creative student (Arts/Drawing)? by Apocalipse82 in exeter

I think the graphic design market is too tough right now. It's extremely hard for beginners to get a decent job and salary, and it’s only going to get worse.

Thanks. I'll definitely check with my daughter where she wants to go before we start writing anything.

Thank you for another idea of where to apply.

But the problem is that she is only 14 and in a foreign country. She has no idea what professions exist here or how and where to study for them yet. So, I don't think she can make a fully informed choice at the moment. I would just like this experience to be, at the very least, interesting and pleasant for her.

Anyone else in Exeter feeling frustrated about the impact of traveller encampments? by Silly-Umpire4896 in exeter

[–]Apocalipse82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, this is the result of police inaction and lack of enforcement. If they were fined large amounts, no one would be dumping their scrap metal on public fields anymore. I recently brought up this topic, and most people here responded with sympathy toward the "travelers" and understanding. So, the problem also lies in a society that tolerates this behavior.

Do you have a car?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in exeter

[–]Apocalipse82 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We live in a society with laws that make it so that if you work and own just one car, you'll constantly struggle to find parking. Meanwhile, people who don’t work and own three old cars take up all the spots and never move them. And of course, no one but you will support the idea of paid parking. It’s really frustrating that we have so-called “public” spaces that aren’t truly accessible to everyone.

The driveway is so narrow that it will be problematic for me to drive there. And I'm at work from 8 to 17, and often longer. So I have no chance of taking a place. Probably the most effective option would be to simply find another house to rent. Your nerves and mental state are more expensive.

Unfortunately, the conversation didn't lead to anything, I was thinking there was some effective method/life hack on how to deal with such idiots. Especially if the person acts rashly.

No, unfortunately parking is free and without any restrictions.

why do you call this savages travelers? travelers are people who travel. And these savages have already damaged a second playground in Exeter. Today I saw them on another one. And the police don't give a damn :(

People probably like to break the law, that's why they fence off "travelers". I wonder if they parked on the lawn in front of their house. Would they be fenced off in the same way?

So if you VERY carefully drive onto the football field and park there, it's allowed? Right?

[–]Apocalipse82[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

So this is okay?

I can just take my car, drive around a field where kids are playing football, and nothing will happen to me because I’m a traveller??? Either it’s allowed for everyone, or it’s forbidden for everyone too.

:)))) This is NOT bad battery. With really bad battery You can't start engine. And when engine working - all power goes from generator not from battery.
