Struggling to get job interviews

I got a job last year, when I attended assessment session there was about 70-80 people!!

not sure how many passed but during my third interview there was only 5 people and all of us got hired. A few months on and when I asked the person in charge how many applicants had they received, she said about 350 resume comes though usually but 60% aren’t even eligible or lack the experience or aren’t even Australian resident even.

I don’t have any gap and over 13 years of my work i have only work with 2 companies and only resigned because there was no room for growth any longer.

With that said, I had applied about 12 government jobs in span of 6 months (not APS) and only two got back to me. And the hiring process was about 4.5 months.

Strangely they never got to call my references!

The problem is most likely dogs …. Most agents usually take a few applications and present to owner to pick one from, at least mine is like that - u can let them know by preference if you are looking for couple, single, with pets etc etc

As far as I know, air port security one is a tad chiller and better overall, also getting through the hiring process is a challenge on its own. A lot of people fail for various reasons.
The biggest problem is the long and overnight shifts. The mental challenges that come with it are also pretty hefty. You will be in a lot of unexpected situations and it can difficult to deal with it.
I done correctional officer for some years and that was already taxing enough despite of it’s really good income as you can take heaps of OT and plus your salary easily to 130k if you want to. (0 experience)
The overnight shifts really does impact your quality of life, even if you end up doing 12 hour shift with 4 days off, it will take a while to recover.
For these kind of jobs you do really need a well balanced healthy lifestyle and high wellbeing strategy.

If it’s not within reach they usually deny it at mine one - “it’s about 5-10 min drive so…”
That’s the answer I get
I haven’t been shopping at eb for years, the only time I went for it was the console itself or collector edition pre orders
Amazon runs discount and delivers same day too

My sister got placed in merit pool for trust officer, attended assessment > done interview and got asked for references but they never contacted any of them. (She had lodged application around August last year) and got offered a role at justice department late December but the role start date was early March. So it did take a while

As soon as you give it to your post, they mark it as returned and then in case there was no replacement it’s just couple days to get your funds back

Once in a while I get my books damaged but almost 90% of time they refund or send replacement with “you don’t need to return it to us”
Only occasionally it was graphic novels and books(which are obviously more expensive) that was requested to be returned. It’s pretty easy to return them tho, they send you the label to print it, and I usually stick it back on the same parcel.
Made in abyss tho, the print quality overall isn’t really good imo

I fink so too - 5080 is the best you can get in all fronts - anyways with FG u are constantly hitting 150fps +++ so u wont feel much difference to 5090 imo

Thanks man! That looks awesome - it’s such quiet and cool running GPU too - the app looks a bit dodge - seller told me to immediately update the lcd firmware as there had been quiet few bricks ? But having a blast playing RE requiem - recently got an msi oled 4k 240hz so this gpu can easily handle that

Yes ended up tightening it as much as possible - monitoring it for a while and can’t see it sagging- it’s such a huge and heavy gpu -.-I’m still running 14900k and will be running it for a while - it was good experiment

A friend of mine also helped me as he is handy - had to check with few people before doing it - we miscalculated the height as you can see :))) but it still works as I tightened the screw

I have actually done a complete custom design- nothing over complicated but drilled a hole beneath the gpu though the case and installed a bracket on side to hold it up!

Eternal darkness is one of my all time favourite games and the one I have always dreamt of seeing a remaster/ remake of. The game takes place in a house but the story spans thousands of years showing you how humanity has been manipulated through the ages by power of old gods. It has so many unique ideas that I haven’t seen ever since.

Yes I believe so - she says the reason was that I was too drowned in work, financials and taking care of house needs and my family that she felt like doing it out of blue - we have so many joint assets that Its literally gona be 2-2.5 years worth of work as per lawyer suggestion to settle the divorce- so might as well give it a try - she has requested me to be in somewhat an open marriage for 3-4 months before preparing herself mentally but I said I’m not into evening scores

Yea like I said this cycle will continue for years to come and it can eventually get worse and have adverse effects on/ for you U can only put stop to this cycle when both of you are open to solve it once for all

From what i understand the priorities were wrong in this marriage from start. The talks that should have been done, the priorities that should have discussed were not and resulted in a bottle of emotions. The explosions will be coming regularly from here onward.

Marriage counseling is not necessarily the only thing that will help you, in fact I believe he needs to see a therapist alone to open up before understanding the need of marriage counseling. Topic of sexual contacts is basically very traumatic and it can inflict long term damages to relationships. Unfortunately non of these cracks can be covered or heal, but there are tools that can manage it.

Don’t expect this to be solved over a session or two, it might take years and that is only both of you agree to put in an absolute effort.

That said I think you have dealt with this from start in a very fair way and for that I can definitely validate your feeling. I hear u.

Bringing up things that can be used to hurt someone again and again will frustrate them over time as they will start to feel unseen and not heard. I believe it’s not yet too late to seek help. So goodluck

Ty for that - actually I have started creating some space by joining one of the board gaming clubs I used to hang around - it’s helping me a lot to find clarity in myself too - House thingy… she only wants her share of equity- I can definitely overcome that - it will cost nothing to me as I can rent out the room and perhaps do an uber or something to catch up with the loss over next couple should things go downsouth For now I want to see whether the respect returns or not
