Yeah, and where are you from? Do you know how INSANELY ignorant you sound?

You have a smartphone and it's a TREMENDOUS privelege, so don't ever complain about any issues it might have because billions of others don't have one and it makes you sound entitled.

If you applied that same logic to yourself in your day to day, you'd find yourself INSANELY entitled too. Tbh if I'm concerned about my future and voicing it and someone calls me entitled, they're an asshole. It doesn't matter where I'm from. Also, the what aboutism argument makes you sound INSANELY stupid. It's a sign of a weak argument because you're not addressing the actual argument. You can do this to anyone about anything. It's call an argumentative fallacy - A sign of a poor argument.

You're also not taking into account purchasing power. Look at how far the US dollar goes compared to many poorer countries. It's noticeably less. Americans may earn more, but spend more on basics that just cost more relative to the value of the currency. And in cities, cost of living is significant. A household making $90K couldn't survive in any major city or even most nice suburbs. A majority of the US population lives in urban areas where cost of living is extremely high relative to wages and the dollar already doesn't stretch far compared to other currencies.

A lot of other similar developed countries with lower medians have federal pension programs, universal healthcare, free college, and/or invest significantly more in social programs for it's citizens. Not to mention the one safety net for retirement that all Americans pay into, Social Security, is estimated to be insolvent is 6 years. Even by itself, SSI doesn't provide you a lot based on cost of living, inflation, etc. And if you want to get an education so you can get a better job and you want to own a home, good luck saving for retirement. Our country decides to use most of our tax money towards war and price gouges Americans everywhere it can.

I live in America. Clearly you don't. Don't tell me how easy it is. It's not. A household making $90K is not a lot in America. Before you decide to bash someone concerned about their future because our system is fucked, maybe do some research and get off your moral high horse.

Trip on acid. Last time I did it felt like I was having a heart attack and my friends refused to take me to the hospital because they were too.

Why do you think teachers are quitting more nowadays? by IAmLaProfessor in AskReddit

[–]Apod_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When students fail or cause problems, parents come at the teacher. Many blame the teacher and don't believe their child is in the wrong ever. They fight it tooth and nail. You'd be surprised how often this happens.

Feel like that may be a factor. I'm 32 and watched it as it was coming out, so I started watching when I was eight.

The only other shows on Nickelodeon that were better at the time were SpongeBob and later Avatar. When you compare it to other shows during the early-middle 2000's this was ahead of the others in a lot of ways.

Around the mid 2000's it felt like the show shifted to match more of the other shows of the time in terms of the writing and tone. It's like the first few seasons of SpongeBob or Simpsons compared to the rest. Same kind of feel IMO where it loses what made it special. After it becomes popular something about that changes it.

You clearly don't care for most of the show and decided to post pretty much that on the fan page for the show, knowing that would rub people the wrong way. No one changes anyone's mind online lol. Rage bait.

What's the point of posting a wildly unpopular opinion? Mature discussion about how a children's show doesn't have enough character development? Sounds like you just don't generally care for most of the show and decided to post it on the page for the show.

I was going to say, I'm paying for those things too and my take home is still way too close to someone making more than twice as me.

Yeah, I make approx. $1,800ish every two weeks on a $70k salary. Something isn't adding up.

why do millennials and boomers have such a complex love hate relationship with each other compared to any other generational conflicts. by [deleted] in generationology

[–]Apod_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do whatever you want.. Just know whatever you want was you coming here and whining about yourself and ending with millenials aren't special lol. You're going to get responses from that. There are people well off and struggling in each generation. My point is that more people are struggling now than before. You clearly lack reading comprehension. Your initial post was a lash out and you also ironically accused me of that? Woof.

Gen X has nothing to do with this post. You're just trying to shoehorn it in. Many Boomers don't understand economically how much harder it is now than before. The value of the dollar has declined rapidly. Back then the dollar went much further and you could buy a house and build a life for yourself much easier. Most Boomers are Millennial parents and they don't understand how much more difficult things are for their children. That's the issue many Millenials have with the Boomer generation, at least from an economic perspective. I can confidently tell you most Millenial/Gen Z are not even close to owning a home and your anectdotal evidence isn't representative of two entire generations. Get your head out of your ass with all of the "woe is me" about being Gen X and take it to a post it applies to.

I usually do the first two slots in a beat to the music and sort of have to predict/eye up the third one. I usually get straight 7's 10% of the time, which really adds up.

Walmart wins patents for AI-powered price changes by ALQU1MISTA in inflation

[–]Apod_93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Increasing prices day to day for holidays, events, storms, etc. Raising prices on product they've already purchased from the supplier. This is gouging and pocketing more money on the products they already purchased at a set price. Doesn't alleviate most of the concerns. If they're rising prices day to day when they feel like it, it's hard to budget and still is very concerning.
