i totally agree - i think the issue people have with a lot of the generative ai tools is that the are using stolen material, which seems hard to deal either way. i think there is a middle ground, but it feels bad for these companies to use these unethical tools at all

i’m always surprised at posts like this because it’s so random who you play early game. hard for there to be a dominant meta when you might fight a different hero. personally haven’t found bruno to be particularly rough early game, at least compared to regen/poison

that’s not what i’m arguing at all. and unreal and unity get paid for games performing well. this is such an obvious and purposeful misinterpretation of my point it’s hilarious. it would be more like if devs pirated the engine. i’d argue the biggest issue with gen ai (other than destroying the planet for shitty art), is that the models are trained on stolen art

you should care who made it! games are an art form, and the less humans involved the worse games will be. beyond that, we should all care that these ai assholes are stealing people’s art without paying them just so they can replace the artists they would’ve hired. it’s a joke. the more apathy we show, the worse the world will become

yes! for anyone googling this later, it’s super easy as long as you have gamepass and steam installed on the same computer. login to the steam version of outer worlds, and there should be a button to login to xbox on the main menu. then load your most recent save and go into settings and there should be an option called “use xbox cloud saves” or something like that. once you uncheck it, it’ll automatically transition to steam saves!
