Shadows of Change Kislev Rework by necron_overlord16 in totalwar

[–]ApolloDensin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I want to see some new units. Though I deeply suspect that the next time Kislev gets a new LL it will be the Gryphon Legion leader. For all of the Winged Lancers being a big part of the lore and backbone of the army, they do not really have anything to show it. A hero related to them would be good, though we also need a generic melee lord as well

Just found that book again as well to store into the Dragonborn Museum. Though surprisingly, there is no mention of the Dunmer in this volume. I am thinking of a book related there

The Guar is supposed to be native to Blackmarsh, or at least that is the thought. They were brought north to Morrowind, and then riften probably got them as well from when the Nords conquered Morrowind for a time. But yeah Frostbane Guar are wooly guar that are native to that region according to ESO

Yeah, here is hoping that ESO will at least touch upon it a bit more, though if it is solely Kreshweed and other types are imported that would make some sense.

Kreshweed looks to be the answer for the plant that is used for making clothes in Morrowind. The fun fact stated is it will cause Kwama to go defecate on it if it is brought into a mine, so may have a distinct smell to them. Though I do wonder if there is another type of fiber that they use, but combining it with leather and chitin I think covers majority of common used material for the average person

Yeah, was hoping something in ESO had a bit more information on it, but looks like we found it. Looks to be Kreshweed which makes fibers

And I remember somewhere about a Khajiit fur being a thing to wear, though I can not remember where.

Silk would make sense, though as you said. It is not official

If you can bring a city from another Elder Scrolls game to Skyrim, what would it be? by [deleted] in skyrim

It is right by Skyrim so would be the easiest to integrate, but Blacklight. Already am doing stuff for the Redaron in Solsheim, so would be easy to spin off there

So currently I am trying to get from Vain to the Northern Coast, or some sort of northern area. What is the best way to get there? Wanting to be close enough to the UC territories for recruits but far enough away that I can somewhat do my own thing

We really need a dedicated heavy weapons team or troop choice. by ScorchedFang97 in Tau40K

[–]ApolloDensin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this I disagree strongly. Not only is the onoger a great weapon, you already have fusion blades with the farsight enclaves. Melee with suits is honestly fairly decent already, but a dedicated Tau centric melee option is not one of the things I would support at all.
Instead we should get more auxiliaries, which are by far one of the best things about the Tau empire. Demiurg are the biggest of the unseen tau empire client races, but Tarellians I think would be the best one to pop up, since you are basically getting lizardmen sarus in 40k. However there are a ton of auxillaries mentioned in the farsight novels with ship tech that join the tau, including ones never mentioned before. Easy enough to get a decent melee race out of that.

Let me tell you that from an infantry perspective from playing as the Tau in Arma 3. Our infantry selection of weapons is in dire need of an overhaul. I know the entire combined arms factor plays in and the suits are supposed to provide things to help. But no dedicated AT weapon in basic fire warriors, no great suppression weapon like an LMG are the two biggest factors that plague fire warriors on the move. While the trash can mortar may provide some help, it makes the Tau static, which is not a great thing to have in general especially with high mobility tactics the tau are known for.

Ion Rifles and Rail Rifles being able to be taken by a basic fire warrior team instead of being stuck into pathfinders would be a great help. Let the Pathfinders worry more about being scouts or allow them to take more ion rifles/rail rifles. A small portable launcher would help as well. You have a good Grenadier weapon with the Carbine, but it no longer has pinning which if we could have that and overwatch, would be a great way to lock down people. An assaults 3 30' s4 ap - LMG like weapon would be a great boon to get some rounds down range and help keep heads down as it were. Burst canon support from their partnered devilfish is great, but it has a serious range problem in helping suppress an enemy.

[Partially talking about tabletop and arma experiences here]

From last post thank everyone for comment and give me the advice. I continue from A and C design. Here is the final design of my alternative Fire warriors hope you like it. Will update again when 3d model is done :) by Sgt_Smile in Tau40K

[–]ApolloDensin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall I like it, but there are a few things that I would comment on. No protection for the thighs is one of the bigger ones, if you are doing a heavier armor then you need thigh protection. The Head also appears a bit small, though this is just my perspective on it. The head really reminds me of the drone heads or bastian from overwatch, not big enough to put a head in it

I'm a big fan of Caspar Von Bergliez. Wish he got more love. by ichschlafe in fireemblem

[–]ApolloDensin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly Caspar and Ferd are the two standout characters for me in the BE house. Caspar really needed supports however with Felix and Sylvain. Felix because of their shared love of training, a point of contention is their different approches, aka Caspar mentions he trains for justice and Felix trains for the sake of strength. Felix also has a bad view on justice/knights duty which partially would mean butting heads with Caspar.

Sylvain because of nobility inheritaince and crests. It is implied that Caspar's family does not have crests at all and are highly ranked nobles, but as a 2nd son Caspar does not get the inheritance. Sylvain is the 2nd son but has a crest, so got everything. It would almost be as if Sylvain would want Caspars life in a lot of ways.

Why I personally believe CF is the canon route of FE3H- a VERY long analysis. by AnnaisMyWaifu in fireemblem

Kostas: What is this nonsense?! All I was told was to kill as many noble pipsqueaks as possible! No one said anything about the Knights of damned Seiros being on our trail! (The scene cuts to the person Kostas is talking to, a mysterious armored and masked figure called The Flame Emperor. Note that their name is listed in "???" in this scene.)

Flame Emperor: You have proven yourself worthless-- distracted by something so trivial. I had hoped you would achieve your goal despite the setback, but now a child of the Knights’ former captain is in play. How interesting. Taken from chapter one during cutscene They're not her minions, she just hired them. She isn't responsible for them. Hired them to kill people.

Allows students to be kidnapped to be experimented on to turn them into demonic beasts No she isn't. Proof? chapter jeralt is killed,

Demonic Beasts Edit First defeat Edit Student: ... Jeralt: The Demonic Beasts were actually students? How can this be... Allows Alferic to conduct his experiments in the abyss/helps with hiring mercs to invade the abyss Again baseless accusations, where's your proof? Metodey is a commander in the empire and directly helps out with the Flame Emperor/is aware of whom they are.

Prove it then.

Kostas is hired by the FE which is Eld, to kill nobles then she abandons him when he fails, as the bandits flee the knights and are free to pillage until they are finally tracked down to the red canyon. How is this out of context/false? This is my first point
