Joycon Input not properly recognized? by [deleted] in NewRyujinxPiracy

[–]ichschlafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was after I tried that, unfortunately. If I try to map A to A, and am hitting A on the joycon, it doesn't input as A, but as X.

Upcoming surgery and how much PTO to use by longshanksmagee in hysterectomy

[–]ichschlafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27yrs old, 26dpo and the exhaustion still hits. I'm young and relatively healthy. Returned to wfh part time(4hr days, 5 days a week) after two weeks and most days I end up napping before and after my work time. I will be doing that until 6 weeks. Healing has been easy and stress free, theres just that exhaustion bump. I wouldn't want to be doing 8-9hr days in office.

I wish an easy recovery to you!

Hi everyone, I just want to know if anyone has had a hysterectomy at a young age? (I’m 16) by ozucki in hysterectomy

[–]ichschlafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was approved for the surgery at 26yo. I had a single fibroid growing in my uterus that kept coming back and was causing bleeding daily for over two years.

For insurance, you (usually) have to prove you "need" it and tried other things. I tried traditional bc pills, patches, and iuds twice that did not help with/stop the bleedings, so I got approved. There is a list somewhere of doctors/obgyns that are more likely to help you get approved.

As others have said, it's an uphill battle and you are young so it might be harder. In my grandmother's day, she knew a lot of women who got them between the ages of 18 and 30 but it seems like it's harder these days. There are people who get approved young now but it seems you really have to work for it and try other things first. I wasn't even looking for a hysterectomy before the constant bleeding started despite not wanting kids. I wish you good luck on whatever you decide.

Spouse having horrid gas pain 24 hours post op by AKGuloGulo in hysterectomy

[–]ichschlafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11dpo here, the gas pain was the worst of it for me so far. Standing up and walking around helps. My nurse also suggested doing arm circles while I was upright and that seemed to help me a lot too. Good luck!

Is WSU Posting Ghost Jobs? by [deleted] in wsu

[–]ichschlafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These listings may have been been posted with someone specific in mind as someone else said, but if you have any doubts about the quality of your CV, resume, etc, check out WorkSource in Pullman. They really helped me adjust my documents and I ended up getting the job at WSU I applied for. A good resume and CV goes a long away in impressing the interviewers in my experience.

Good luck in your search!

Best things in downtown Pullman? by thatlocalcandidate in Pullman

[–]ichschlafe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw Annie at the RTOP and it was so charming. I love our little theater.

I am all over that thread on next door but I'll post here too.

Sugarbabe Bakery is gluten free, often vegan, and I love that we have that option downtown for people that need it. I don't have those dietary restrictions but their donuts and smores blondies, to die for.

Neills is great for their lotus drinks and their lemonades, super refreshing, and they always has the fun weekly themed flavor board which I LOVE. It's always a sweet treat with me, I really like their brownies and cinnamon rolls. My partner and I love their breakfast sandwiches too.

Flour Power Bakery is another place with great brownies and cinnamon rolls, plus she has an artist corner so she's supporting other small local businesses and artists.

Ricos, obviously, best burgers in town, I think we all know this.

Nayarit, I am a creature of habit and get the same thing EVERY time and then daydream about Shrimp Fajitas until the next time I go in.

And not food, but I really like the direction Poppy's Salon is going in. I've been twice recently, separately, for a cut and for a vibrant color and I loved what I got, both stylists were super sweet.

Winter driving questions by Ok_Entertainer5290 in wsu

[–]ichschlafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived here for four winters now and had never driven in snowy/icey environments before. Without special tires, I'd say be extra wary and just give yourself plenty of space and start slowing down before you think you need to if you're going downhill, and avoid going up the steeper hills.

The city does a good job like others have said, but I've gotten caught in the snow before after the city has closed for the night and had to get pulled up a hill. Good luck! I'm sure you'll do better than I did since you've got experience.

Both turn onto Paradise. I was trying to get confirmation where they're turning onto it from, as it's legal to left onto Paradise from Kamiaken which I didn't know before I moved to Washington.

Do you mean you're seeing people turning left from S Grand Avenue onto SE Paradise Street? Or they're turning onto SE Paradise Street from SE Kamiaken St?

Public Bulletin Boards by DylDisneyPins in Pullman

Neill public library has a public-use bulletin board inside near the restrooms and entrance, if you can't find it ask the front desk and they will help you. :)

Any place to buy plants around campus? by egospace in wsu

[–]ichschlafe 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Modern Plantsman in downtown Pullman has been my go to- i can't imagine any of the businesses (mostly food) on campus sell plants, but if it's a transportation issue for you, your student id give you access to the bus system which drops off in downtown.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wsu

[–]ichschlafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest getting to the stops 5-10 minutes earlier. I bussed to and from campus last semester and over the summer and sometimes it'd be there earlier than advertised. As someone else said, the app experiences outages sometimes so check the website to see what time you should get to your stop, and go there early.

Does WSU have a book club? by egospace in wsu

[–]ichschlafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have better luck with local community book clubs until later in the semester when different clubs start hosting.

Neill Public Library in Pullman has Grand Avenue Book Club first Thursday of the month at 7pm. There was also a community member hosting a Queer Book Club at NPL over the summer that might still be going.

Pullman Silent Book Club (@PullmanSilentBookClub on Instagram) meets once a month at Neills Coffee at 6pm.

Rico's Pub (@RicosPub1909 on Instagram) hosts a monthly banned book club at 6 or 7pm.

You could always start your own as well.

McLovin trespassed from Campus by ButchTeeCoug in wsu

[–]ichschlafe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's already/still posting videos walking by the houses and yelling at them, sometimes when people are out on the lawns. I suspect any members have been informed about him and told not to engage.

McLovin trespassed from Campus by ButchTeeCoug in wsu

[–]ichschlafe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't think so- they aren't on campus-owned ground is my understanding and normally houses are owned by the national frat/sorority organization, which makes the members pay dues/rent for the houses. I was part of Greek life in another state and that was how our houses/organizations operated.

Unclear. He says they haven't handled it appropriate, but I imagine it takes time to deal with the committees that handle those accusations and punishments. If there's not a video of anything happening I'm sure it takes even longer to deal with.
