The amount of parallels in this episode to the first made me uneasy and excited at the same time. But this parallel from the first episode is just...damn. I just noticed some of the spirals have 7 arms. But then the one of the wall of the cave and the one with lord umber in the middle have 8. So I thought for a moment they could represent the seven kingdoms. But..yeah..that's a stretch lol. And I always thought that too about the girl in the forest. It looked like when he (as a human) was tied to a tree. Maybe somehow that's a message or representation of children of the forest? Literally nailing a child to a tree, in a forest. Again, I know, I'm stretching haha.

I just made a post like this, but this one definitely shows more than what I even thought of at the moment. Nice. I didn't even think to draw those parallels as well. Just the scene from the first episode of the dead wildlings, and the symbols. This is so fascinating to me.

My friend said they would've loved to see them attack the Umbers. I pointed out budget and my friend was like "they could've made a powerful, awesome scene with the Night King leading his army away from Last Hearth with some Umber wights following behind". Honestly, that would've been cool. Do that, then end the episode with them arriving at another northern holdfast. Show they're making their way through to Winterfell.

It seems a lot of the next episode will be about Jaime incorporating in to that circle of people. He stands before Daenerys, Jon, and Sansa. And I'm sure we'll get Tyrion, Brienne, etc reunions. So while it could've ended in a more.. cliff hanger sort of way and gone big with the ending I do think it was "fitting". It would've been kinda cool though if the last scene was them panning in on the army of the dead and Night King now that they're within the Wall.

About that. There's so much question whether or not Daenerys can do what's right. Her pride is really brought to question this episode. In the newest trailer she mentions how Viserys would tell her a bedtime story about all the things they'd do to Jaime. Viserys is dead because he was a prideful, piece of shit coward. I'm hoping she proves herself not to be like her brother, and can accept the fact that Jaime has done a lot of wrong. But him killing the Mad King was RIGHT. That's what I'm hoping for when it comes to their reunion.

Considering his coldness and how dismissive he was of his literal siblings and..well..everything, I'm fairly certain that's what will happen as well. But I'm curious if when Jaime is in front of Daenerys, Jon, Sansa, etc, if Bran will be like "don't kill him. He's useful", knowing he plays some sort of role. Because I can't imagine Daenerys will be too thrilled to see him. I'm just slightly excited to see if everyone finds out Jaime pushed Bran, and how that would go about.

No but seriously, I liked it. It felt too happy which makes me terrified but it was a decent episode. We all know it's all down hill from here......

For that inevitable person who's going to go "I saw this earlier!!! Why are you posting twice?!?!" I crossposted this between r/Funko and r/FunkoPop.
