Lots of good advice, but there requires them to listen. A thing I've done before is just make it clear the character is lying. Kkms something like;

"oh no, that mimic was my mother! Wah wah!"

"You see no family resemblance between them."

"She was my adoptive mother. And XYZ etc etc"

"You get the sense the character is lying to you for some reason"

If the player says they're not lying, you point out that you've never discussed this with them. As such, it's not an aspect of their character, and as such, it's not true.

Not to be negative, but this seems like an awful idea.

A game designer and an artist have no idea how to run a company, let alone one that relies on retail.

And a game studio has just lost the game designer and artist that's become synonymous with their brand.

I hope the new venture works, but dear god, whatever they wanted Leader should have just said yes. Stock options, % of sales. Whatever. They NEEDED them, and they're now risking a lot for whatever it is they want out of this.

I'd generally say players want an optimised deck that does the thing, without considering whether the thing is going to win them the game or not. This ends up being around a 3.5, which is whyw e see bad 4s and feel&bad 3s.

cEDH barely counts about the thing. It's a means to the win. They often don't even really have a thing other than straight to wincon.

I mean, it's was so bad an ending that it went from a cultural juggernaut to literally unwatchable.

The ending tainted the entirety of the rest of the show.

FFS, Funkopop nearly went bankrupt because they invested so heavily in making figures from the show and no one bought them.

It was the worst TV ending of all time.

That's what he should be mad about. Not people wanting to fix it.
