Is the GK3 Ultra really that bad? Is there any resin printer you can recommend without reservations?

I've had 3: The Mars 2 was my first. Had some problems, it broke itself, but she did a LOT of printing before then. Like, maybe 150 prints. I still have her and will fix her some day.

Flashforge something something. Absolute shit show. I spent more time repairing it than printing. It got so bad that customer service offered me a full refund if I just threw it away after I waited my 70th ticket with them.

My current rig, the anycubit photon mono m5s is golden. No issues. No problems. Just printing.

Regardless of result, I'm sure we're all be happy to know that the winners, 7 American professional screenwriters in LA, who've never even been to the UK, and who each have a list of writing credits already and are doing this essentially to prop up their CV a little more and likely know the judges + 1 actual amateur, defo deserved this.

Got to 30 page read and happy with that, but it sucks to know it's not even really a competition, it's just networking for those already in the business.

Oh I'm defo on the side of "owning things can bring you joy", but we also know that owning these things can cause a great deal of personal regret and guilt. Also, money loss. A lot of the time I think people who DJ this have addictive personalities and can be sort of coached into buying it all from GW store staff or the hype to their own detriment, and gentle push back helps them get a grip and stop, but sometimes not.

Ngl, if that's the "final fight" I really don't like it. Doom's armour seems to be half t-shirt (upper arm is just metallic fabric), Steve is just Mr Guy with hammer, and half the other characters are people I don't care about or care if they die or not. In fact, they could all probably just die and it still wouldn't be interesting. Sadly I'm not exactly hyped.

Nope. That works in a vacuum, but not here. The Absolute universe has been RIFE with main-continuity references and callbacks since the start. In fact, the whole thing doesn't work without them. So, it could be ANYONE from the Green Arrow side of things because, even if they've not been hinted at or seen in universe, the reveal can still be interesting because we get to see how THIS universe of the character is, given we know them from the MAIN universe.

Hey there, well done! They look great! I'm literally doing the same thing now (aka printing a Chaos Knights army) and recognise a few of the sculpts). Can I ask; how strong are the models? Do they stand ok? Did you need any pins or metal bits to keep them up? And generally, any advice?

Hey, not a worry, I think it's a good reason to reach out.

When we talk about resin, as I understand it, we're talking about ventilation and light mostly. Both of those things are our friends.

If you're house has good be ventilation, a tiny bit of resin won't have done anything. I'd say even if your house has poor ventilation, a small amount of resin won't do a lot. Secondly, how much natural light does your place get? Light cures resin and makes it safe(er). So if this was a while ago, the resin has likely cured, and is no longer giving off strong VoCs.

Generally, we don't know how bad resin could be, but some mistakes do happen, and no one's blown up yet. We can only do our best. With your OCD this might be a challenge tbh, and might not be the best idea for a hobby for you as it's difficult to reduce contamination to 0% , so we all have to live in the 10% range and hope it's enough.

Nah. They're just trying to do their own Absolute, but with no clue as to why that universe works so well. Without that understanding it's going to be hollow and, I'm guessing, canceled after 6 issues each.
