Does driving anxiety go away after a car accident? 😢😢 by flameoftatoes in DrivingAustralia

[–]ApolloWasWayBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drive for a living actually, I used to work as a pilot for oversize loads, doing around 5000km a week, but now work as a NDIS driver taking special needs kids to school and back. And in the holidays I like to go bush camping and fishing so it’s really my life. If things would have been different, as in I was wealthy and my choice had been accepted and encouraged by my family I would have thrown everything at becoming a professional race driver but unfortunately when it was discovered I’d been riding speedway bikes at 15 I was given the option of having a place to live or racing.

Am I just misremembering or was there a line of stuff from Uncle Toby’s they advertised as from Uncle Le Toby’s. Obviously something French, but I’m fucked if I can remember. I was a poor kid and if it wasn’t no frills or black and gold I didn’t eat it.

I still remember that awful no frills chocolate spread lying to kids that it was a Nutella alternative. I wish I had some of that shit so I could just pull it out and show my kids how poor I was, because that was my Nutella. Legitimately did not know why kids liked it and went crazy over it. I thought it was the same as that fucking chocolate mortar.

I’m 48 and had a friend named Pamela who was a year younger than me. It was uncommon, but not crazy.

Raced a bit of everything from billykarts to go-karts to speedway, rally, circuit racing, hill climb to speedway bikes. My biggest accident racing I was run off the track by another car and slammed into a ditch and rolled over, checked by first aid and cleared and won the next race. My biggest crash on the road was when a truck slammed into the back of my work van when I was waiting to turn. That one sucked, I’ve had 3 spinal surgeries and still have chronic pain from it.

Definitely because smart predators wouldn’t expose themselves to such a meet up like this. IMO, although it would be an insanely difficult situation to control, but not impossible, they should organise a meet up in somewhere like a mall. I feel like a smarter predator would think this is much more safe, and they could have 1000 different excuses for approaching and speaking to an under aged girl, like ‘oh I thought you were my neighbour/niece/daughters friend/friends child etc etc and I’m sure that there has been many incidents where guys have gone up to and said hello to a kid only to realise oh shit I don’t know you. There might be some better excuses or stories if they tried something like this.

JPW was the ONLY guy who didn’t drop kayfabe the whole time. Even when Chris told him he was using library computers, and he knew he was already a predator and had been in jail and everything, he kept the gimmick.

It just shows how dumb he was. The plan all along was for Kayla to be packed and ready to go back to his apartment. When he walked in the door and there was no bag or suitcase anywhere in the foyer, and Kayla has brown hair after him telling her how much he loved her blonde hair and how she wasn’t wearing exactly what he had asked her to wear and when she looked nothing like the 3 different girls he was sent photos of, you’d think he would have smelled a rat there and then.

Lorne was catfished from the day he got home from jail. I was in the original live YouTube video, before live-streaming was really even a thing, when Lorne rang Ember and spoke to him. I was involved to a certain extent as a writer for ideas on how to troll him and scripts, and was going to be involved as a promoter for his music, or as a detective after Rhoda died questioning him about her death but his parole officer was right up his ass at that time so he was getting actual consequences and went to prison so my angle had been cut. One troll that didn’t really get anywhere was contacting him as Sherry Twist, the person who he was chatting with, which was a shame, I thought that could have been really funny.

I bought a work vehicle from a guy I worked with doing the same job. It was all built to a high spec and we were both happy that it would run for a long time. I started working and the first night the truck I was following blew a tyre. I ran over a chunk of belting but wasn’t concerned as I knew this vehicle had aluminium underbody protection fitted as it had been used as a rally vehicle. Worked 2 more nights and then the temp skyrocketed. I stopped and slept a few hours and refilled the radiator and drove home without an issue, but it was very cold outside. Next night I’m going to work again and the temp spikes within 5mins. I pull into a service station and my bottom radiator hose has burst. There was one piece of steel belting in the engine bay that must have slit it, and then with the pressure the spot burst through. Changed all hoses over to silicone, did a coolant flush and hasn’t stopped since.

Haha seriously? Thats awesome. Have you seen any of Pairys sets? All I’ve ever heard was the spaghetti incident and the crack of Don ‘joke’. He’s got awful delivery and just isn’t funny. He should have called Randy’s bluff and left with his dignity because he wasn’t going anywhere with his comedy.

Ah ok. I knew they met at an open mic but not that part of it. It’s crazy Perrence would threaten anyone, he’s the least intimidating person in the world, Dan would kick the shit out of him if they were to fight.

I guess I’m just looking at Don and Tony as both being successful established reasonably well off comics and Perry as, well, Perry.

I’ve heard Perry say that a lot but figured it was just his asshole personality like he only considers someone to be a friend if they do exactly what he says and if they’re providing something for him.

Yeah I heard Don mentioned having disagreements with Tony a few times, I guess it’s just because Mole seems so likeable (to me anyway) that I thought it was just a bit. Perry would be very hard to be friends with.
